Fallout 4

First 1000h single player rpg
I have this mental problem where if a gameplay mechanic annoys me it really annoys me and I shut the game down. I have played every big single player rpg and Fallout 4 is the only one that stood the test of time. I keep coming back and enjoying the game all over again. I usually give a single player game a thumbs up if it is 30h plus. But Fallout 4 giving me 1000h is just incredible.

Over 2K here, and some players would put my hours to shame, too.
Incredible indeed.
It has absorbed almost a year of my life.
Just over 262 days.
Congratulations! that's a serious dedication. Game really catches you, and there is always something to do.
Nice! :cozybethesda:

110 days for me, my most played game. My Steam library is huge but I keep coming back to Fallout 4. Wandering the wasteland has a strange calming/relaxing effect on me, like an unintentional cozy game.
Good positive post. If I had any Steam points left you could have one, but I used them all up on a thread where someone showcased a model of Helsinki Parliament House made entirely out of toast. Oh well.

Fallout 4 isn't my favourite videogame, but it's definitely in the top 5. One of the reasons I like it is because there's always plenty to do - I can load it up for 10 minutes or four hours and there's always something going on to keep me busy whether it's running missions for the Brotherhood, or working on one of my settlement builds.

Good vibes too, every step of the way. I actually really enjoy just exploring Boston and it's surrounding areas, sneaking along at a nice, slow pace, watching those brackets, making sure they stay in the 'Hidden' zone with that relaxing ambient music playing - occasionally meeting something dangerous and reacting to the threat, testing out new weapon modifications, looking out for good looting spots.

It's great fun, and for me it's always a case of 'journey before destination' the moment-to-moment game loop of ...explore, loot, fight, build, craft.... keeps me immersed.

So yeah.
Same here with FALLOUT 4 being the first game to have me going over the thousand hours mark and now nearing two thousand. This is with and without mods such is its great game design.

Congratulations on finding something which brings you the gaming joy :coffeeTLD::FATECheese:
Yup! It's a 'comfort food' kind of game. There are certainly things that it could do better, but the things it DOES, for me, are well worth just immersing for hours at a time.
The thing is with mods you can play it anyway to like.4k hours here over 10 years,I just keep comming back to it and play with different mods :)

This run I'm using an old mod Conquest, building a main base at Fiddlers Green ,lol trailer park settlement, with tons of attack from all directions.I sure it will crash at some point lol
Fiddler's is a fun location actually!

There are so many choices. (and ... *cough* even more now that the ba2 limit has been radically improved heheh)
I had that idea in my mind, using a random location as base.. That roof is good for sleeping (watching stars)

you probably mustve found it there, the secret bunker..
thst reminded me fo3, dino hotel ;)
