Yeah ... I saw Juicehead talking about it on YouTube earlier.

I read the EULA. Not much I can do about it, unless I want to piss and moan like a impotent jerk. That simply isn't me.

Even better is the fact that Skyrim and Oblivion Remastered are eventually getting patched as well. I just bought Skyrim, too. Yeehaw!

My guess is (and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up being right) that orders came from the top to start fixing the games.

Whether we like it or not it is being done. I'll live, and it isn't like I've been playing this much anyways.

Git a better laptop and now I'm finally finishing Persona 5 Royal,

When this is back to normal (or as normal as a Bethesda game gets) I'll download it again and hope the mods I use get fixed. Good luck me!

Fair opinion and analysis.

any other company, and updates are viewed as an exciting thing, especially for old games that could really use some modernization,

but when its bethesda? everyone knows they are just going to make things exponentially worse, and manage to break ~80% of the mods that have been keeping the game alive while they do it.

They really don't have an excuse considering the unofficial patch exists. All they have to do is make it official. That's it.

They own the game's development/design. They don't need a excuse to patch it.

And I have zero reason to "brace myself" for this update. I don't use any outside source mods.

*Shrugs* It's the price you need to be willing to make when you have the ability to mod a game. I'm fine for a few weeks I'm in the middle of a Grim Dawn obsession.
