Trip to Arizona

Thanks to my mother in law I was able to make it down to Arizona for a few days to visit the Hanks. It was so nice to get away for a few days. Although it was hot I didn't really mind because I am getting a little sick of the rainy weather in Salt Lake. Erika was a great host and she was very helpful getting me ready for my little girl. It was kind of nice that we were both pregnant because I think we were both moving at the same pace.

Carson took awhile to warm up to me but in the end we had a lot of fun.

Here is Erika at 21 weeks and I am at 20 weeks. I really started showing after our trip to St. George. Tomorrow I have another doctor appointment and I'm interested to see what he thinks about my expanding waistline. It was interesting to compare baby Terry and baby Hanks movements. Baby Hanks definitely is packing a stronger punch and kick at the moment. I can feel baby Terry's little moves but I think it's because I can feel her on the inside and the outside. Ryan hasn't been able to feel her yet but hopefully he will be able to soon.

Ryan was able to fly in Saturday and we were able to eat at two great restaurants. We went to Joe's Farm Grill for lunch and Oregano's for dinner. This is a picture of us at dinner with all of the kids going to prom in the background. Thanks for being such great hosts. It is always so fun to catch up in person. I know we are keeping our fingers crossed that Erika and Ty move back to Utah sooner rather than later.

100% Girl

The day after my ultrasound appointment I went to fetal photo to find out for sure if we were having a girl. This time she wasn't shy at all and had her legs up by her head like she was getting her diaper changed. Even though we were 99% positive ourselves that we were having a girl it was nice to get confirmation so that I could start making some purchases and we can start the name game. I will have to scan some of her pictures and add them here. We have a ton since we had two long ultrasounds. We are so excited about this little girl and I cannot wait to meet her.

Oh, baby

We are so lucky that our baby is looking really healthy and has all of her/his parts. Unfortunately after an hour and a half with the ultrasound tech we are still not 100% sure it's a girl. When the ultrasound tech first came in the baby's legs were crossed. She left and came back and the baby's legs were in a frog position. She left and came back one more time and the baby opened it's legs a little bit but than immediately stuck a hand down there. Maybe we are having a boy since the baby pulled a Michael Jackson :)We are trying to decide what to do next. I might go to fetal photo tomorrow otherwise I have two more doctor appointments this month and I know they will do another ultrasound at one of them for sure. It's so hard to wait though. I'm ready to buy a little outfit and pick out some baby bedding.

I also have to comment that we had a great weekend this week. We had a farewell party at Ryan's parents house for his cute cousin Chase who is leaving for his Philadelphia mission soon and on Sunday Liz and Rob blessed baby Jeddie. Robbie did a great job and the breakfast afterwards was really good.

85% sure it's a Girl!

I had an ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said he was 85% sure we're having a girl! Now we need to wait until May 3rd when I have my next ultrasound for confirmation unless we can't stand the wait and end up going to fetal photo. We will be excited either way when we find out we're either still having a girl or if by surprise we end up having a boy.

I still love looking at weddings

I love this real wedding found on Martha Stewart
I think this idea would also be great for a party. It might make those big birthdays (aka #30) a little more fun.

Nursery Love

Even before I got pregnant I loved looking at nurseries. Here are some rooms and colors I like right now.

Baby Baby Baby

We're so excited to announce baby Terry coming September 2011! We are absoultely thrilled and can not wait to meet this little boy or girl.

February

Poor Ryan had a rough start to February. He had nose surgery to fix his deviated septum and ended up being out of commission for about two weeks. The DR said he had one of the worst noses he had seen in years. It turns out his nose was broken in addition to having the deviated septum. He is feeling a lot better now and in another two weeks he will go back to the DR for a final checkup.

Valentine's day turned out to be extra special with the arrival of baby Jeddie. Congrats to Liz and Rob.

We also had a fun night out with the Buies and Daltons and the next week the Camerons who made us some yummy nachos. I love watching the Oscars so I can see what people are wearing. I think it would be so fun to have a reason to get all dressed up. I think you'll see a theme in my vote for top three best dressed.

January Catch Up

We went to a bunch of Sundance movies in January. We saw The Guard, Margin Call, Win Win and The Details. They were all really good and we lucked out big time since you never really know what you're going to get. I also went to Lizzie's baby shower and had a fun girls night out with friends at Red Butte. It's always so fun to get together and chat chat chat.

Update

On Monday the 10th we watched the BCS Championship game with the Josh, Melissa, Rob, Adrienne, Lincoln and Danielle. It was so fun to get together and Melissa made a great meal. Ryan had a million tacos. Thanks for having us over. This weekend Ryan and I watched the movie Buried and had Cafe Rio. We also had dinner at my parents house and went with them to see a Sundance movie called the Guard. Both movies were really good. I am also loving this sweatshirt that I got at American Apparel after Christmas.

I'll have to find a bigger picture of this or take one of myself wearing it.

Birthday Weekend

On Thursday I picked up The Town and some candy for Ryan's surprise.

Friday was his birthday! Here is a picture of him before we left for dinner (please notice the pink blanket in his arms, lol)

We went to Porcupine for dinner and watched Wall Street when we got home. Saturday we went with my family to get our Sundance tickets for this year. We lucked out and got tickets to almost everything we wanted. Afterwards we went to Eggs in the City for brunch. It was very tasty.

Sunday we went to his cousin's homecoming. His cousin served in Guatemala like Ryan and he gave a great talk in his Spanish accent.

Wallpaper File Cabinet

I love this idea that I found on Design Sponge
We have a ugly typical file cabinet but I want to upgrade the look when I get a chance.
