A night at The Barton Beauty Shop

While I was watching Super Nanny, my two youngest girls decided to do my hair. It was fun but I got a headache fast. I just kept reminding myself of how much fun they were having and endured the achy head for a bit.

Puppies

Our friends Jeff and Sherri decided to attempt the breeding of their dog Bell. She is a Lab and a very nice, clam dog. Anyway here they are so cute just a few hours old. They are actually two weeks now.

Wordless Wednesday

Wow it is Wednesday again. I didn't make it to work on Monday and the girls and I had a day out. We took Morgan in for her last Guardasil shot, Scooter in for his yearly shots, went to lunch, went to Toys R Us passed uncle Jayme on the street, took Kyra home and headed back home ourselves. So here is the funny part. Scooter gets car sick so I put him in a portable kennel. When I got him out at the vet he had thrown up. So I cleaned it all up and on the way home when I turned the corners the whole thing would flip over on its side. So Hailey would hop into the back and put him right side up. I was very careful until we were all most home and again at the corner by the stake center he flips on the side again. I am laughing my self to death and the girls are angry at me for laughing at him. I told Hailey not to worry about flipping him back over since we were all most home. At Somerset there is a steep driveway and it was snow packed. So I gave the car a little more gas then usual to spin the girls and bit and low and behold poor Scooter flips right side up. Wow was I laughing but when I opened the back to get him out I was no longer laughing. I literally scared the pee out of him. I then had the task of bathing and shaving him. He really needed it anyway, and the poor dog slept soundly the rest of the night. Quite funny I thought. Ok that is my week in a nutshell. I am headed to PG for staff mtg today. Yippe.

Manic Monday

Happy new week to everyone. We had a nice weekend. Ward spent two days helping his Dad do some work in their basement. I of course cleaned up the whole house. The girls spent a lot of time at their Grandma Barton's playing with their cousin Kyra. Today I am trying to talk myself into my weekly half day at work. The kids aren't in school today so I really am fighting it. I mentioned to my boss that I may not be in. I have to take Kyra up to Orem so I might as well put in a few hours of work anyway. Kristina's son was at the ER lastnight. He had only 1 wet diaper along with a fever and not wanting his bottle. Turns out he has two ear infections. Tis the season for illness. Well happy week to all.

TGIF

IT'S FIRDAY........

YIPPEE, had a full day at work with lots of new babies, and sick kids. I did my weekly weigh in with weight watchers (only I don't go to the mtg, I weigh in at work and report to a friend), you have to ans to someone or you don't stay motivated. Anyway I have lost 4 lbs. Since Jan. 5, 2008. I have trouble with my chocolate and other favs but I try to use the eliptical to help. I have a R.S. breakfast in the morning, and after 8 months of living in this ward, Ward and I finally received a calling. PRIMARY.... the lord must really want us there. But after all this time I am excited to be back. Have a happy weekend.

Wordless Wednesday

I totally missed wordless wednesday. I was busy getting my house picked up and orginized. I got caught up on laundry and rearranged the dressers in my room. Quite and eventful day. Picked up some new fish for the tank and chatted with a friend. Tata for now.

Manic Monday

The weekend went by fast. Now we are at Manic Monday. I say manic monday because I frantically try to accomplish things before heading to work for half day. I over looked laundry to spend time with the family and now need to catch up. Morgan is home today she isn't feeling well. Lets hope Hailey remembers to pick Sara up at her class and get her to the bus. I have started weight watchers and while I love to see the pounds drop off, it is hard to overlook my favorite foods. Oh well it will lead to a healthier me. I still can only handle the eliptical for about 5 min before my legs turn to jello. Hope the week goes well for all.

Wordless Wednesday

Hello world. So yesterday I got sent home from work because I tested positive for strep. I was doing great and really didn't want to go home. Anyway I got home and got a lot of things done. But, by 2:30 I plumitted. By 1 AM I was shaking uncontrolably from a fever. I went from chills to sweats all night. Today I feel even worse. :( I am off today and really glad. Ward goes in for an MRI tomorrow and we will find out what has been going on with his shoulder. The girls and I have found the joy of Knifty Knitters. They are knitting looms and we have been having a lot of fun with them. We will have to take pics and post them. Happy Wednesday!!!!

Sort hair? Longer Hair?

Ok I am in a delima. Short hair? But not as short as this summer. Or Longer hair? leave some comment and view my pics so I can get help deciding. Thanks.

Thoughts for the recently posted pics

Hello we hope you all had a wonderful New Year Celebration. Thought I would comment on the photo's I just posted. I had to make Hailey feel really important becasue for the first time in a very long, long time she ate everything on her plate. With some coexing of course. I hope by now you all know I am a horrible speller so forgive me now for all spelling errors. Morgan thought she needed a special praise also for eating an adult size portion. Now, on to New Year's Eve. We opted to stay home and be warm. So Kristina, Alex and their two kids, along with Bubby (my bro), Dave (our friend), and Gary and Danielle (our friends) came over for our annual game night. We started out with In a Pickle until the men folk got out of hand and then we switched to Pass the Pigs. At that point little Makayla was hootin and a holerin. She thought that was the best. So we let her take her turn tossing the pigs. I wish I could have captured it on video. We all stayed up banged so pots and pans and then headed for bed. We (the bartons) slept or laid in bed until nearly 11 AM the next day. We had a great holiday season. Mom was home 10 out of 14 days of the holiday. Dad was home 8 of the 14. It was so nice. Well, after the weekend I am back to my normal work schedule. Hope you are all wonderful.
