Memorial and a Baptism

This week was a bitter sweet one. Back when I was a teenager, my parents moved to Las Vegas. I most certainly did not want to move in the middle of my Jr. year of High School, so I moved in with a family from the ward. Some of you know the Glasmanns some of you have heard of them. They are like family to me and a lot of times I will refer to them as my Oregon Family. Anyway, their Grandpa passed a way this last week. He was a very wonderful man. He had many accomplishments. He loved life and he loved his family. I have very fond memories of him. With his passing brought family from all around. It was so nice to see them all. We were lucky enough to have my "Oregon" Brother, and Sisters here at our house all week and to have them here for Sara's Baptism. So to Grandpa Jay we said farewell with an amazing Memorial, and to Sara we said congratulations for becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. It was a beautiful baptism. We were blessed with wonderful speakers who included Morgan and Chance Carlson. We were also blessed with a solo from Morgan. She brought tears to many.

I DID IT!!!!

I Have been doing coupons for quite some time now. I have yet to figure it all out. Last week I took a print out and some coupons and tried out Wal-Mart. I have given our family a budget of 100.00 a week. I used 3 or 4 coupons on some big priced items and saved 20.00. This put me just below my 100.00 budget a smidgen. I did not come home with all the stuff I needed but was some what satisfied. This week I took my list and my coupons and headed to Smiths. I only bought a few things on my list but with March Madness going on, with my fresh values card, and about 6 coupons I came home with all the stuff below. Again I did not come home with everything on my list, but I am very satisfied. I think it is hard to tell but I got a lot of stuff. The total was $169.00 after my fresh values and coupons, and of course the savings of the March Madness, my grand total was $112.35!!!!! Wow! I went $12 over budget, but it was worth it. TTFN!

What the ????

Why am I sitting at the computer at 2 AM? Work was long and hectic this week. Lots of sick kids and employees. We were really short handed but working while sick is the worst. I am glad those who were sick or had to tend to their sick kids were able to stay home. There is nothing worse than being sick and being forced to work. Thank you retail. NOT. That is probably one of the best things about working in a medical office. When your sick they LIKE you to stay home. It may not be easy to get through the day but guess what no one has not made it through the day. LOL.

So here I sit. The truth is, I really don't feel so great. We went to our last Marriage Seminar tonight. It has been the best thing we have done for our Marriage. We by no means have a troubled marriage but who on earth would not want to make it even better? We have been given many tools to use in our relationship that are down right priceless.

Anyway, We went on a dbl date with our dear friends and I think the food just might not have agreed with me. I must admit at 2 Am I can sure think. I love my girls to pieces but sometimes they just gab and gab.

We have a full weekend planned. Sara is having a friend Birthday party and that will take up most of our Sat. From planning, to the actual party and clean up after.

I have also misplaced my darn camera charger AGAIN. It seems whenever we leave town I miss place it. Well TTFN
