Bite Size Fall TrEaTs!

...'tis the season...
Just another successful use of the fall harvest!
***
***
Start with big beautiful Granny Smith Apples

You'll also need a melon baller...

And it helps if you throw in some amazing girls...

Once you've got the ball and stick... you're ready!

First the caramel...

Then the sprinkles.... (and chocolate, candies, cookies, etc. etc. etc.)

And the end result couldn't be any cuter... See for yourself

We had such a fun time last night. We did these mini caramel apples last year with our Young Women and they were such a hit, that we decided to do it again. Turns out the "2nd annual" was just as fun and yummy!

***
We also got a jump start on our Holiday Care Packages for our missionaries and college students...

I love being around these girls so much!

They continue to amaze me with the joy they bring

to me and the others fortunate enough to be a part of their lives!

It's not like we needed any more calories after the caramel apples...
but keeping with the apple theme...

...we finished the night with this!

*Hot Apple Cake with Toffee Crust*
*Fresh Apple Juice*

Conclusion:
Start Planning the 3rd Annual Mini Caramel Apple Night!

Can We Get A Little Privacy Please!?!

Well over one year that we have lived in our humble abode and we are still crossing little projects off our list! We FINALLY got window coverings installed today! Hip Hip Hooray!

Can you believe that we've had ghetto "paper shades" (a slight step up from bedsheets) covering the windows for this long!

Slowly, but surely... we're really classin' up the place!

It may not seem like much until you are reminded of just how far we've come....

A bit of an improvement, eh?

(to my neighbors who liked to drive by at night to sneak a peak of me in my g's on the computer... well, those days are over! Sorry!)

Complete with Wild Rumpus' and Awesome Forts

There are lots of mixed reviews out there, but I for one, was not disappointed!

Max was perfect!
The Wild Things personalities were so endearing and while it was a bit conceptual... it had to be. I highly recommend it.

But be prepared... if you're like me, you'll probably want to come home and read the classic book to your loved one(s) as a bedtime story. And you'll probably still love it just as much as you did when you were 7...

...or maybe that's just me.

Highlights

Just in case you don't want to watch the long slideshow, here's the highlights of our trip in the cliff notes version...

We went to lots of amazing places and saw many amazing things...

We ate incredible food and too much of it...

We read and relaxed, swam in the ocean, soaked up some sun, watched movies and ate popcorn under the stars and enjoyed lots of one on one time together...

We took bazillions of self portraits. Some good, some not so good.

And lastly, we ate enough gelato to feed a small nation...

And we loved every minute of it!

Best. Trip. Ever.

Mediterranean with the C*K*J's

Warning... this slideshow is long. You don't have to watch it.

We took over 2000 pictures during our nearly 3 weeks in the Mediterranean. We managed to pick a couple hundred highlights to recap the trip...
