Track

Kenton participated in track and ran the 800 meter and the mile.  He was a short season, but he enjoyed it!  These are pictures from the track meet in Heber and Payson.

Career day

Kierra had career day at school today.  She wants to be a doctor and go to work with her Dad when she grows up.   Such a pretty girl!

Gopher trouble

These nasty gophers have been tearing up our front yard.  Both times we put the trap out we caught a gopher.  Hopefully these are the only two!

Shooting

It was a gorgeous day today and Devin is off so we went spent the day outdoors.  We went fishing first and then shooting.

This was our first time shooting the boys' new gun.  It is really smooth and fun to shoot and doesn't kick back hard.  It is a semi automatic 22.

Devin's birthday

We were going to be in Snowflake on Devin's birthday so my Mom made him a cake and we spent the evening there.

nest

Kaddie and Kierra found a bird nest that had fallen from a tree at Grandma and Grandpa McCleve's house.  They were excited to show everyone their find and handled it very carefully.

Fishing

We spent the afternoon fishing.  It was a pretty nice day, too cold to swim, but it was nice to be outside.  We didn't have any luck this time, but it was an enjoyable afternoon.

Go cart

Devin was working during Spring Break for the kids so we did some fun things at home and close by.  We spend one day in Snowflake and Grandpa McCleve got the go cart out.  The kids took turns driving and riding for quite a while (until we ran out of gasoline).  Kierra even talked Grandpa in to giving her a ride!

Art contest

The White Mountain Symphony Orchestra hosted an art contest and invited schools in the surrounding area to participate.  Kenton's drawing took second place and he was awarded $15.  The judges loved Kenton's creativity!  My Mom was able to present the award and here is the newspaper clip of her doing so:

mini bouncy house

Our neighbors who are moving gave the kids a mini bouncy house and they have had a great time jumping in it.  The challenge is to make sure there are only three to four kids in it at a time.

Piano recital

Kindsey, Kaddie and Kardon had a piano recital tonight.  They all three did a great job on their numbers and were excited to perform.

Basketball team pics

Kardon's basketball team after their last game.  Kardon, Rocky, Rugar, Kaleb, Keagan and Cort Porter, Bryson Kelton, Luke Crandell and Hadley Porter.

Kenton's team: Tyton Slade, Brysen Reidhead, Tyler Owens, Braxton Owens, Trenton Reidhead, Kaden Blare (I think), Kenton and Blake Kelton.

Kindsey's team: Kaylee McClaws,  Marissa Parry, Karissa Owens, Brook Taylor, Haidyn Franco, Kindsey and Heidi Parry.

Baseball season

We have had a few days of really nice weather so we were able to try out the net we got for Christmas.  It was really handy for pitching to the kids as well as having them practice hitting off the tee.  We have mostly used it in the front yard, but we took it and the pitching machine to the baseball field once for fun.  We ended up with quite a crowd of kids and had enough to play a baseball game.
