Easter Weekend Fun!!

We had a very nice Easter weekend back in Dubuque. It was very busy I might add but it was lots of fun. The nice weather definitely played a big part in that. Friday morning we spent with friends playing and hanging out and Friday afternoon we headed to Hazel Green to see Grandpa Dale. The girls had a great time at the "park" or the school down the street from him house but non the less they had lots of fun and everyone slept VERY well that night.

Saturday after a nice sleeping in. We headed to Platteville to MaMa and Papa's. Braelyn and Judah were there so that was nice to get to see them and the kids played outside almost all afternoon.

MaMa had an egg hunt set up for the kids at her work. They had lots of fun looking for eggs while the residents of the home watched.

Getting to enjoy a bit of candy after the hunt.

Sunday morning the "easter bunny" just happened to find us in DBQ at MiMie and Grandpa's this the girls in the glorious bed heads ready to hunt for eggs.
They did quite well.
All prettied up and ready for church.
My Beautiful girls.
Nice family picture.
Easter baskets from MiMie and Grandpa and Nessa had gifts for the girls too. Spoiled they are just spoiled :)

Family picture in Lancaster at Grandma Dee's house before we headed back north for home. It was a great weekend.

Dying easter eggs with Daddy!!

Nick always makes a big point to dye easter eggs with the girls every year. I think he likes it as much as they do. :) So Sunday after noon they dyed easter eggs. As you can see they did enjoy themselves and at the end they had very pretty eggs. Too bad none of them will eat them :)

Family Fun at the Kid Expo

This past weekend we took the kids to the "Big Event for Little Kids" expo. They had a lot of fun and there was SO many things for them to do and see. The herpetology club was there with a TON of different snakes ( ick) and some lizards too. The girls did not flinch once and I had to keep my eye on Clara cause she kept wandering off to find another different snake to touch. I'm sure this will pass as they get older but for now.....

You would not catch me doing that with a snake especially one that size. I turned around and this thing was sniffing my head, heebee geebees. ICK!! I think it was looking for some food.

They had a black light tent. The kids got markers and could write on the walls. Everything was of course glowing and since each of them happened to be wearing white they too were all aglow. They thought that this was quite cool.
