2 1/2

Well Garret turned 2 and a half today! Time has gone by soooo fast. He is still 40 inches tall. Its kinda funny seeing him around other kids in nursery at church. He is taller than most of the 2 year olds and as tall or taller than the 3 year olds. He loves going to Nursery. We never have to sit with him, he never cries, like some other kids, and when he needs something like a diaper, he doesn't get upset when he sees us. We feel very blessed by this. When he sees the kids that are upset he gives them a look like 'what is wrong with you, we get to play.' He is such a happy child most of the time. He does have his moments when he gets mad for one thing or another. He loves having visitors and hates when they leave. We took some funny pictures this week. We got a package from Patricia with hand-me-down clothes and toys from her boys. Garret loves playing in boxes and this one is the right size for him. He can easily step into it, the sides of the box are the same length as his legs. He got a lot of books in the package and has been looking at all of them and reading them by himself. He has such an imagination. He just looks at what is on the page and makes up his own story. He runs everywhere. Its weird to think that he just started kinda walking around last Christmas but didn't get very good till after that. We are so happy that we are able to be his parents. He has taught us a lot over the last 3 years, yes even when I was pregnant with him. I can't imagine a world without him.

Snow and Thanksgiving

We have had a couple days of snow, but it doesn't stay for long. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. It kind of just blows away as soon as it falls. We are still trying to get used to how different the weather is here than in Utah. Maybe we'll get some more snow in January.
Thanksgiving was fun. We stayed home and I made dinner and the desserts. I actually didn't make a real turkey, we had a turkey roast instead so we wouldn't have many leftovers. I have never made Thanksgiving dinner before, so this was interesting. I have helped with pie and a few side dishes before, but I did it all by myself this time. So basically I was in the kitchen from 10 am to 6:30 pm. It was really good too, if I do say so myself. Garret really enjoyed all of it. After dinner we went to the movies and watched 4 Christmases. Brent and I both liked it, it was pretty funny. Garret did really well too. This was his fourth movie since we've been in Ohio, and he's done pretty well in all of them.

Brent only has 2 days of classes left, then finals stretched over a week and a half. We are excited that this semester is almost over. We leave for Utah on the 17th, the day after my last day of work and Brent's last final. We are very excited to get back to somewhere normal, even though Brent's parents house will look different, we look forward to seeing the changes. We are very much looking forward to seeing our family members, and friends.
