Canning, Canning, and More Canning!

Canning has been a common occurrence as of late. Long, long hours of canning and little girls running around like tornadoes in the meantime. It is all worth it in the end. Heavenly Father has really blessed Grandma Gallaher's garden this year. We went away with lots more salsa and another giant and juicy watermelon. Then, I went to check on Grandma Church's garden because she is out of town, and more tomatoes! Just from Grandma Church's garden, I canned 27 more quarts of salsa. SO much work, but again, so worth it when it's all over with. Now, I just need some tortilla chips to eat with it all. Yum!

 Oaklee's hair is pretty long by her ears now, and often I find a pretty little ringlet.

New Books!

We got an order of books from Aunt Sarah and the girls were SO excited. Zoie laid out all of the books on Sadie's bed so she could look at all of them. Then, Sadie sat in the rocking chair and read books to herself.

Light Saber Battle

These three play so well together right now. I am so happy that the big boys invite their little sister to play along with them all of the time.

Little Miss Zoie

When Zoie wears a dress or a skirt, she likes to grab the bottom of her skirt with one hand and twirl and dance around. She was having fun dressing up and carrying around this purse. I love how her sparkly shoes are on the wrong feet. What a doll.

Rainbow

There was a beautiful rainbow outside! It might have been the first rainbow the girls have ever seen.

Mmmm! Watermelon!

Grandma Gallaher invited us over to taste the first picking of watermelon from her garden. Oh my. It was the juiciest watermelon ever! The seeds were gigantic; they were perfect for a seed spitting contest. We can't wait to eat more and more!

Sadie wanted to do do a facial with me, and the next day, I guess she thought it would be great to do one with Zoie. Oh my.

First Day of School

Landon is in 5th grade with Ms. Adkisson and Ethan is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Nolte this year. We are hoping for a great school experience this year. 

Happy Anniversary!

Kendall surprised me with a trip to Chicago where we got to see the Broadway musical Aladdin. It was incredibly fun to watch. Then, we ate out some place super yummy, but I can't remember the name of the restaurant. Our hotel suite was very impressive. It was great to get away with my Kendall. I am the luckiest wife. My life with Kendall is amazing. I love you Ken! Happy 11th Anniversary!

 

Texan Cousins

  We have just been loving life with our Texan cousins here. Ryan and Ashley always help my kids have such a good time, and I love being with my brother Gary.
