School is out!

We pulled out the water slide today and had to wash it off. There was a mama and baby mouse hiding in it which Maddie loved and Bubba saw a big spider and screamed like a girl. Jade was sunburned from the lake yesterday so she didn't play with us. Just a side note Colten ended the year with the best grades out of the three though they all did very well. Colten's lowest grade was a 94%.

One of our family favorites

Saturday we found some time to go together to roast hotdogs and marshmellows and of course do some hiking.

Colten used his new pocket knife to make Madison and I a roasting stick

Madison invites her first friend over

Madison invited her first friend over to play. It was a huge success. They shared bugs, bikes, and a picnic. They had so much fun and Madison is always asking when is her friend coming back. She goes to his house next(which she calls the "forrest" because it has a lot of big trees).

Quick update

School is almost out! Wow!
Jade ran for 9th grade secretary and made it. Way to go Jade. She likes to let me know that she is now taller than me. (That is a weird feeling).
Savanah was student of the month for May. She will be in Jr High next year. Savanah and Colten are performing in the spring choir performance tonight and Savanah has a solo again.
Colten will be the only one in elementary next year. This month there was a primary activity and Colten was the only one to go. (It seems strange to have 4 kids at home and have only one in primary).
Madison (where to start) she can unlock all of our doors and is hard to keep track of - hence she was running naked down the block last week (thank goodness that one wasn't on my watch). She keeps us laughing with the crazy things she says. She was helping me mow the lawn Friday and while I was dumping the bag she said "come on mom you're wasting time". When I asked her where she learned that she told me in school (she's 2 and not in school). Her favorite thing to say is "I want a popsicle and then I'll be happy".
