Crawfish boil

I can not tell you how many times Jason has said he wants to have a craw fish boil or go to one.  This year we were able to go to one at our good friends house a good hour away.  They live out in a rural area and are separated by a lot of land.  Perfect for hosting a huge get together of adults and children.  We had a great time and left very fat, full, and happy.

I had a harder time seeing the craw fish then Kaylie did.  I thought she would see them and run.  She stood their watching them in amazement.  I on the other hand freed a few of them to make myself feel better.  I am one of those people that would prefer to see them all ready cooked than alive about to be cooked.

My little monkey has fear but is quick to over come it once she sees she can do it.  Then it is no stopping her.

She is motioning for Freckles to come over to her.  She will clap, raise her voice and tell him to come here.  It is like she is talking to a baby trying to crawl.

When Jason saw this picture he didn't get why I was so excited about it.  I thought Freckles sitting there watching for some random pieces was hilarious.

Eating birthday cake.  She was so excited to sing happy birthday to Christian's dad she ran into the house when it was time.  She came out crying a few minutes later because she stepped back, tripped, and landed in the dog's water bowl.  Once she calmed down she went back in like nothing happened.

First let me say...This was not on and she never rode it while it was in motion.  That is my public service announcement.  By the end of the night Mr. Brent had become Kaylie's best friend.  He pretty much did anything she wanted him to do.  It was precious!  Our night ended around the camp fire listening to one of their friends playing the guitar.  What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Every dogs dream

It took him many years to figure out how to do this.  We spent many years in an apartment and all he had was blankets.  After five years of living in our house and 11 years of life he figured out how to bury a bone.  He did such a good job of it the first time it took us over a week to figure out where he hid it.  The only way we knew he had buried it was when it randomly appeared several days later covered in dirt.  With no obvious hole anywhere around it took us completing a recon mission just to catch him in the act.  Finally we found it under one of our plants.  He finally accomplished his mission as part retriever.

Since then he buries them quit regularly.  We actually got on to Bailey the other day thinking she had devoured hers and moved on to Shiners only to find the dirt covered bone laying out on the porch several days later.  We took Bailey's bone away several times giving it back to Shiner when all along she just wanted what belonged to her.

The first picture was a few weeks ago.  Since then I was startled when I was watering the flowers and noticed something out of the norm in the back of our rose garden.  I laughed when I realized it was his bone.

Once he realized we spotted the bone in the above picture he went and got it.  Once he thought we weren't looking he went and tried to hide it next to the fence.  We enjoyed watching him.

Easter day

I already had a dress bought for her way in advance for Easter morning until I walked through our local Kohls to find this dress.  I walked around the store veering pack periodically to look at it.  After doing this for a good 15 to 20 minutes I decided the 40% off plus the additional 15% off coupon was too good to pass up and my "must have" need took over.  I am glad I did.  We went to church and then had a family afternoon of brunch and time playing at the park.

For brunch we went to a restaurant in downtown Mckinney.  We parked the car, got out and right next to us was a set of steps with a beautiful bed of flowers that matched perfectly with her outfit.  You could tell many pictures have been taken there because you could see the perfect spot to stand.  If you wanted you could even sit on the rock that was perfectly placed.

I know this is pretty much the same as the picture above but I couldn't decided which one I liked better so I picked both.

I have seen many professional pics taken here so I had to try.  I think my ability to capture this wall to its fullest is still a work in progress.

She looks so tiny against this.

After lunch we went to Town Lake.  Even with it being overcast it was beautiful.  Their were so many  people enjoying God's beauty.  We walked, played, blew bubbles, picked flowers, and fed ducks.  Not a bad way to spend an Easter afternoon.

She was so funny with her bubbles.  She couldn't keep from making funny faces.  Made me smile.

I actually feel like a grown up in this picture.

On her way to roar at birds.  If you hear her running while screaming sarcastically that is why.

Mission accomplished.

I just like that I caught her in mid jump.

She is in love with picking flowers.  If you ever need your weeds pulled just call.  She will have it cleared in no time.

Their is a bubble in the middle of Jason's head.

Finally figured out how this bubble thing works.

Easter morning

This Easter was just as much fun as Christmas.  She loved being able to see what the Mr. bunny had brought and then had to be stopped when all she wanted to do was eat the slew of M&M's the Easter Bunny brought.  He even found a way to make a M&M bunny for her.  He definitely knew what would make our little girl happy.  In the back of the basket you can see a princess magazine.  Mr. bunny decided she will get one of those each month for her to read, color, and tear things out.  Their are different activities for her to do through out.  She loves it!  Pretty sure she was quit pleased with her basket.
