SEPTEMBER - BYU vs. Air Force

We went to the BYU/Air Force football game where they, unfortunately, lost big time.  I can say now, months later, that time really does heal all wounds.  (In this picture, Tate's all, "I can't even watch anymore.")

Jude kickin' it with his posse.

(Picture borrowed from Lindsay's blog.  Thanks!)

No matter what, we bleed blue.

Heads hung low.

I had to include this picture because we are always trying to capture what Tate does when he's walking next to us.  Whenever he is walking next to us, he always trails slightly behind and watches us out of the corner of his eye.  We don't know why.  It worries us.  But we also find it hilarious and adorable.

SEPTEMBER - Sundays

Just another Sabbath day.

SEPTEMBER - Camping on the Rez

We squeezed in one last camping trip for the summer just down the road at Cherry Creek Reservoir.  We went with our great friends, the Coles.

We took a walk.  We also ate smores, sang songs around the campfire with Jeromy on guitar, and played games.  It was not only the easiest camping trip ever, but it was also one of the most fun.

The next day we went swimming at the reservoir.

 Building sand castles.

 Ladies who lounge.

 The masterpiece.

Kobe and Julia's fun primary teacher just happened to be there!

A great weekend!

AUGUST - You Betta Recognize

Both Kobe and Luke got a HOWL Award at the first Coyote Call of the school year.  It is always a surprise when the student is called, so they were both super happy.  Here is Kobe after his name was called, giving high-fives and heading to the front.

The awards recognize students who are Helpful, display Ownership, make Wise Choices, or are great Learners. Kobe's award was for Ownership.

(Sorry for the headache you are about to receive from trying to focus on these pictures.)

I didn't get any pictures of Luke being called up, but here he is at the front.  Luke's award was for Wise Choices.

Luke got to sit by his buddy, Logan.

We were so lucky that Dad got to be here for the Coyote Call assembly.  Jude was out to support his brothers, too.

Tate was there, but his level of support is debatable.

Kobe and Luke have each gotten Coyote Awards (the old awards) in previous years, but never on the same day!

So proud.

SEPTEMBER - Utah: Friends and Family

We got to visit with our good friends, the McQueens and the Prices.  It is always so much fun to visit.  It was a quick visit with the Prices, because Cory had to usher at Stake Conference.  Which is funny to me for some reason.  Old man.  :)  And Liz neglected to tell me when I set up our visit that they ran a FULL MARATHON just that very morning.  Crazy!  I felt so horrible for crashing them after such an exhausting day!  But not horrible enough to leave or anything.

These guys used to be the babies.

It was just like old times for Kobe, Luke, and Isaac.

 The boys.

And a candid shot of the camera-shy Megan.

I also got to have a quick visit with my dear, college, bridesmaid friend, Jennifer.  It was so fun to catch up.  I love old friends where it's like no time has passed at all.  And I loved meeting her adorable, oldest daughter.  (Her baby girl was sleeping.)  We both agreed that this picture of us is horrible.  But we're both in a place in our lives where we just don't care enough to try again. :)

We got to have Sunday dinner with Grandpa Matthews and Grandma Claire.  Tate really does love them.  Hang on, Grandpa, because we can't let this picture be Tate's last with you!  :)

And this picture is so blurry, but I just had to include it because I love when my Grandpa is laughing.
