Two facts result in the following photo:

1. I get up with the kids at night so Mike gets up with them in the morning.
2. Zetta's hair is a bit crazy in the morning.

A Family Divided

Today the US plays Canada for the Hockey Gold Medal.

Obviously I got the kids dressed for Church today!

Shhh!!! Don't tell Mike...but secretly I hope Canada wins. My home will be a much happier place to be if Canada wins.

A Funny From Each Kid

Connor- I was babysitting a little friend of Tara's. We were on our way to the YMCA to work out and this is how the conversation went:
Tara: You have a cat
Morgan: Yes
Tara: When you don't have a cat, will you get a dog?
Morgan: No
Tara: Is your cat going to die?
Morgan: No
Connor: Until it gets run over by a car!

Tara- We were in church on Sunday and I had a bruise on my arm. Tara said "mommy, you have something on your arm. I will get it off." Then she continued to lick her finger and rub my arm to get the bruise off.

Zetta- It is surprisingly dry out here in NC. Before moving out here all I heard about was how humid it is. (Which I have to admit that there were some pretty humid days in the summer.) My skin is very dry along with Zetta's. We put lotion on her lots. In church, (after Tara licking my bruise off), Zetta was sitting on my lap looking at my face. She said "Mommy need lotion." Thank you Zetta!

Fashion Guru

Tara has become very fashion conscious. She wants to pick out what she wears. She is into all things that sparkle. She has something against long pants and long sleeved shirts. It is snowing outside right now and she is wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt. She does put a jacket on when I make her to before she can go outside. I let her get herself dressed when we aren't going anywhere. These are two of her outfits. Isn't she fashionable?

Who Needs Valentines Day?

Mike is against Valentines, a day in which Halmark says to say "I Love You." But I will have to say, he makes up for it on other days. Here is our snow a few weeks ago:

He came home on Wed. night with this for me:

There are 10 roses. One for each year since the day he proposed to me.

Connor Woke Me Up

Two nights ago, Connor woke me up screaming "Mom! mom!" When I got to his room to see what he needed, he said "I am old enough to use glass bowls and glass plates!" Seriously? This is what keeps him up at night? Can anyone say OCD?!
