Baby Campbell

This morning we had our 20 week appointment for the big ultrasound. Those of you with kids know that this is the appointment where they do all the measuring and make sure there are 10 fingers and 10 toes. There is a lot of excitement for this ultrasound because most patient people find out if they are having a boy or girl. We already knew because Mommy insisted on paying $100 to find out a month ago vs. just waiting for this appointment. There is also some nervous anticipation because this is the ultrasound where find out if there is anything wrong. The radiology tech really can't tell you anything, but we are comfortable that the tech wouldn't have been in such a good mood if there were any noticeable problems. We find out for sure tomorrow when Jennifer goes back to meet with Dr. Sam.

We are VERY excited to finally get some good "pictures" of Campbell and get to see him sucking his thumb and moving his little legs. Special thanks to Gran for driving in to stay with the boys so Mommy and Daddy could attend this milestone.

The Polar Express 2010

Lets say that, as usual, the holidays have been really crazy and really awesome. The boys are getting to the age where not only do they get what is going on, but they really look forward to Christmas. I can't tell you have many times during the 8 different Christmas celebrations we had that Caleb said, "Oh my goodness, This is SO AWESOME!"

One of the many highlights from this year's Christmas was the Polar Express. For those of you who have read the book, but haven't checked out the real thing are missing out. Cooper and Caleb are obsessed with trains and getting to ride a life size train with hot chocolate and rice krispy treats was almost too much for them.

We got there about an hour before it was scheduled to leave and the boys just stood there staring at the big train. They were very concerned it was going to leave without them and didn't like the fact that they couldn't get on, but were really good about waiting. I am really glad that we are getting to an age where they understand when things are flat out of your control no matter how much they want something.

Mommy and her boys!

Daddy and Caleb!

Santa Claus got on the train at the North Pole!

Cooper and his Gran!

The North Pole. You don't get off the train. It just stops and lets Santa on. Some friends of ours rode one of the later trips and said the North Pole is much more impressive when it is dark outside. We opted for the option that would still allow us to get home before bed time.

Special Thanks to Gran and D-Dad for such a special Christmas Treat!

Merry Christmas From the Seelys

The Seely Family would like to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope the holiday season has brought you joy and thank you all for being great friends!

The Seelys have been up to all sorts of Christmas cheer and have already had about 6 different Christmas celebrations. Let's just say that Cooper and Caleb are officially confused and don't really understand when Santa comes and when they just get presents. We celebrated Christmas in the Woodlands last Saturday which is the pictures we have here. The boys got new big boy bikes and they are officially masters of the training wheel assisted Huffies.

The past few days have been spent in Lufkin with Gran, D-Dad, Mema, Paw Paw, Mimi, K-Maw, A-Maw and many others. We have been running around for days trying to see everyone while we are in town and it has been awesome. We are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family and look forward to spending the rest of the holidays with everyone.

We were lucky enough to get a new computer from Mimi for Christmas so hopefully that will increase the blog post count. Who know:)!

Merry Christmas From the Seelys!

Dear Cartoon Cuts:

We intended to choose you for our haircuts, but since your website says you open at 9, when in reality you do not open until 10, we chose your competitor.
Apparently the haircuts didn't turn out too well. Not because the boys were misbehaving, but mostly because there is a reason why "stylists" "choose" to work at a kids specialty haircut place. Gran, if you are reading this, tell the Mane Attraction we need an appointment.

Christmas Cards

Shutterfly is the place to go for your annual Christmas cards! Go online to http://www.shutterfly.com/ and check out their entire collection of Christmas cards, Holiday cards, and even wall calendars!

We recently had a special photo session done just so we can order our Christmas cards from them this year! It is somewhat overwhelming because of all the different styles, combinations, etc, but I think we found the perfect one to highlight our recent investment in family pictures.

The photo session started off great and didn't start to go downhill until after we already had all the photos we needed. Our goals were to get a good family picture, one good one of them together and then a couple good individual photos of each of them. Honestly, the only reason we made it as far as we did was because Daddy found a lizard about half way through and we used that as bribery for taking pretty pictures. Each good picture we got resulted in a trip back to the lizard to poke, prod and pretty much just annoy him. I am proud to say that Mr. Lizard made it all the way through the photo session and when we left was living and breathing. Now every year when we go back to look at our previous Christmas cards we will remember our adventures through our Shutterfly Christmas Card!

It's a Boy!

For those of you not on facebook, I thought it would be a good idea to post our latest news on the blog. Jennifer and I had an appointment with an ultrasound place on Friday to find out the sex of our latest addition. Our friend Lynsey wrote the neatest little poem for Jennifer's Mema and I thought saving it on the blog would make sure we never forget:

Oh, the suspense it's eating us alive . . .

A boy or girl, which will make the Seely Family Five!

No more waiting for the gender of the latest future Aggie

We just had to find out if it is Campbell or Maggie

We are so excited and ready to shout for joy

Cooper and Caleb will be joined by a BOY!

Cooper and Caleb would like to wish a very Happy, albeit belated, Birthday to their wonderful and amazing Aunt Ann! We love you and wish you the best!

Mickey D's

Those of you who know my children, know their fascination with pancakes. Specifically, McDonald's pancakes! We originally starting going there because you could order 1 Big Breakfast and feed both kids, but now the playground is a hot spot. The beauty of the playground is they are now tall enough to get into and out of everything and really have fun while they are there. This means that all Mommy and Daddy have to do is post up by the front door and listen for any issues that might occur. The video above is of Cooper and Caleb and a little boy who was born at the same hospital, on the same day as the boys. SMALL WORLD!

Guess What . . . The Blog Still Works!

Well, obviously there has been a lot going on and we have had many "crazy adventures" that should have been shared, but unfortunately weren't. Tomorrow marks a big day in the boys schooling. They will be going to "big boy school" for the FULL DAY! This includes packing sack lunches, bringing nap mats, and staying there until 3:30! This is huge! We are very worried about how they will react to taking a nap at school and probably need to apologize in advance to their teachers for the melt down that will likely occur!

For all of our facebook friends the above pictures shouldn't come as any surprise. For those of you who haven't heard, we had a little accident that involved a quick trip to the ER to get Caleb's chin all glued up. Here is what happened: The boys have a table and chair set that we keep in their playroom for crafts and playdoh. At some point, they decided that the chairs for this set could be lined up one behind the other to play "train". Usually they just rotate between the front chair and the caboose taking turns being "the engineer" and "the worker man". We don't let them stand in these chairs and the above picture is the reason why. Apparently Caleb decided to stand in one of the chairs using it as a stage to sing one of the songs he learned at big boy school. Cooper noticed this activity and decided that Caleb was not making good choices and needed to get out of the chair. When Caleb refused, a little fight ensued and Caleb's chin met the chair in front of the one he was standing in. A quick trip and $150 copay later we have some glue in our chin and no one is worse for the wear.

I hesitate to post this picture and notify all of our followers about our recent find, but figured this place needs a little free advertising now that school has started. Stay at home Moms unite and support Bouncing Bears at 2920 and Kuykendahl. It is a giant inflatable filled fun zone that only has one exit. Mommies, you can sit by the front door while your children get the much needed exercise. You can do this for only $10 bucks for the entire day. Jennifer has made multiple trips where she took them in the morning, went home for a nap and then came back for hours in the afternoon. Safe to say they know us by name.

Safari Stop

When it is 105 degrees outside you have to get rather creative with how you spend your afternoons. Luckily one of our local churches opens up their indoor playground and gym to the public so we can have a reprieve from the heat. The boys ask to go to the "Safari Stop" at least once a day. That is when they are not asking for ice cream or to ride the trolley or to go to bouncing bears! These videos are of the boys singing the one song that stuck from their year at ELP last year. For those of you who don't speak Cooper and Caleb 'ese, I will translate, "Jesus, there's no one like you!" These boys definitely get their outgoingness from their mother:)

For those of you thinking, "How sweet are these two little angels?" This video was taken about 10 minutes before they got in a knock-down-drag-out fight with each other on the second level of a giant playscape! Don't get me wrong, they love each other more than anything, but man can they get after it! Mommy was none to pleased when she called to tell me about this little adventure. Daddy had to have a little talk with them when he got home.

Breakfast of Champions

We are on Day 2 of the sickness and despite a little accident at the car wash yesterday, we are doing pretty good. Both boys had pretty bad fevers last night, but a little Motrin got them through most of the night. We seem to be better this morning and once again Phineas and Ferb are our favorite friends.

Potty Training

Hey there sports fans! We decided to take the plunge this weekend and start potty training! We dabbled a little bit during the week, but it didn't really go all that well. Our thought is that 2 hard days with help from both Mommy and Daddy will set a good foundation that Jennifer will be able to carry into next week. We are praying for sanity as they start to get it. Right now I am asking them about every 7 minutes if they need to go and following that up with, "We don't tee-tee in our big boy underwear! Where do we tee-tee?". To which I make them respond, "In the potty!". We are about 2 hours into it and with the help of Phineas and Ferb we have succesfully had both tee-tee and Caleb even poo-poo'd!

I realize that bodily function aren't really that interesting for our followers, but that is what we have going on this weekend! I have to admit that my intentions are a little selfish as not having to change diapers ever again with these two would be AWESOME!

Sorry there are no new pictures, but the camera got lost in Jennifer's purse and it was dead when I went to download this morning!

Family Birthday Party

We had a birthday party back home and just got the pictures back!! The boys had a great time at their party and everyone enjoyed spending time with them!!

This is one of my favorite pictures!!! Three Woodys in a chair!!

Cooper did not want to blow out his candle, so Caleb leaned over blew it out for him!! This did not go over well, so we lit it again to give him a chance!!! My mother's pictures were from another angle, and you see me holding Caleb back with my hand over his mouth so Cooper could take his turn.

I still cannot believe we have three year olds!!
We have lots of pictures and updates from Mommy's birthday weekend to put up so check back soon!

Astros Win!

Well we are home and I am happy to report that all 4 of us made it home safe and sound. The boys did really well and while they really didn't care much for anything going on in the game, you could tell they were having fun. As I suspected the only real way to keep them happy or interested in what was going on was with food. We went through quite a few different types of food and almost $60, but at the end of the day we got the good pics we were looking for.
Special thanks goes to my boss, John Sorrells, for providing some awesome seats. We were almost even with 3rd base on the 3rd row!

The evening started with a quick tour of the stadium. For those of you who don't know, the "Squeeze Play" section of Minute Maid is on the first base side almost to right field. There was a lot of cool stuff to do, but mostly for older kids. They did have the biggest playscape I have ever seen and luckily enough 3 years old was the minimum age! It was REALLY big and there was a lot of sections where you could see the boys, so I got a little nervous. As I suspected, once Cooper grew tired of the playscape he just started screaming he was ready to come down from the very top. Luckily the Astros have somone on staff whose job is fish kids out of this thing:)

Round 1 - Ice Cream Sundae

Round 2 - Chicken Strips and Fries

Caleb wasnt a huge fan of the Chicken Strips, but did ask for more fries.
Caleb hamming it up after we left the game!
Cooper had to take a picture of the "big balls" too!

Family pic as we left the game. You can't tell but I am covered in chili, cheese, ice cream, popcorn, etc. I have never felt so gross in my life!

The best part of the whole game was we got to sit close to this guy! Hey dude, the Jersey Shore is a long way from here!
All in all it was a great experience! I didn't know who won the game until I started watching Sportscenter when I got home, but the boys had fun and that is all that matters. This will likely be the last time we try this little adventure this year and next time I am thinking Daddy might need some one-on-one time with with his boys. There were definitely times where you could tell they were feeding off each other which meant they wouldn't sit still or pay attention, but, hey, they are only 3 years old. Daddy will have all sort of opportunities for more Astros related adventures.
