JULY

We started July off with a trip to Splash Summit in Provo.  Next year we may need to upgrade our Get Out pass day pass to a season pass.  The wave pool is by far the favorite.  We even got to watch some of the world cup from the wave pool.

The obstacle course is also a favorite for the kids.

We spent lots of time in the lazy river.

We went up to Eaglewood Golf Course to watch fireworks with Amy's family.

This is a tradition that I look forward to all year. I love spending time with Amy and her family.

On the 4th of July we took the kids down to Spanish Fork to hike Dripping Rock Trail.  There were tons of painted rocks at the beginning of the trail.

We were hoping to go to the Springville Recreation Center but found out it was closed.  Then we tried to go to an arcade in American Fork...but found out it was closed too.

So we ended the night at our own Rec center.

We celebrated Nona's birthday with family.  We took candy and the game left-right-center.  Nona hung in the game for a long time...but Millie ended up winning it all.

I made Nona a Cherry Cheese Pie Cake.

Our next Mountain Monday took us to Donut Falls.

There were so many pretty wildflowers along the trail.

We also met a very friendly squirrel that desperately wanted the Cheetos the kids had packed as a snack.

Then we rode the chair lift at Solitude to see more wildflowers.

We had a picnic lunch up by Silver Lake Loop and then walked around the lake.

Then we stopped for doughnut...because when you hike Donut Falls you must get doughnuts.

We also took a trip to the Clark Planetarium.

We went to the KPOP Demon Hunters Laser Show.  Lou's favorite song this summer was Golden...and every time it came on the radio she had me turn it up.

Millie and Silas were eligible for Summer Reading rewards through Pizza Hut and loved getting their own personal pan pizza.

We also had cake to celebrate America's 250th birthday.

We had never been to Cherry Hill...so when an opportunity came to join Amy and her kids there we jumped on it.

The lazy river was our favorite spot.

We also visited the Nickelcade.

And we took our first trip to Little Beakers.  The kids loved doing all the science experiments and our time here went by way to quickly.

We visited 7-Eleven on 7/11 for Free Slurpees.  My mom was kind enough to watch the kids overnight so Seth and I could spend the entire day at the Parade of Homes.

We hiked The Grotto down in Payson.  This was such a fun trail.

We also went and played in the water at Payson Lake.

On our way home we stopped at the Cook Family park in Pleasant Grove.  The kids loved this park...they have a soccer area, playground, splash pad, etc.

We also dressed as Cows for Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation day...and we went for breakfast and lunch.

We went to Boondocks and went on the go-carts, ropes course and bumper boats.

Then we had lunch under one of the planes at the Hill Aerospace Museum.

We went to a program about invisible messages and the kids each made an invisible message.

We also visited Flynn's Retrocade.  It was so fun to see the kids all playing some of my favorites.

We took a trip to Lagoon.

And enjoyed face painting at another Summer Literacy event.

We went to Ben's mission farewell.

Followed by Rachel's baptism...where the kids turned this table cart into the best toy.

Our next hike was to Gloria Falls.  This was one that I hadn't done before.

After Gloria Falls we went to the other Boondocks.  Silas and Conrad got a chance to drive the go-carts.

Phin and the older kids tried out the ropes course.

Then we visited the new arcade in Daybreak.

We also went to the Classic Skating that Sarah used to work at.

Then we checked out all the floats for the Days of '47 Parade.

Followed by a Ferris Wheel ride at Scheels.

Lou also went bowling for the first time in July.  She ended up beating all of us...I think a ramp and bumpers and Mom lining up the ramp really helped out.

We also went to our ward campout up near Park City over the 24th of July.

Silas had been so excited to go camping because that is when he can use a pocket knife.

The organizers of the camp had tons of crafts and games for the kids.

Seth also took some Cola and Mentos and our bottle rocket.

We played lots of water games one afternoon.

Seth had a definite height advantage in this pool noodle game.  You were trying to keep a plastic cup up on one of your noodles.

We came home from camp and headed right to our old house. A huge piece of equipment had been delivered and demo was set to start on July 27th.

On the 27th I got a text from my neighbor that demo had started...an hour and half earlier than we were told.  We rushed over.  Although we missed the first few blows we got quite a show.

We had invited several neighbors and ended up having a snow cone party on our neighbors lawn.

Silas finally really took off on his bike in July.  It really helped to take his bike to Nona's so he could ride on the flat court.

Silas also loved the Minecraft themed photo spot at the library.

For our next Mountain Monday we went to Rocky Mouth Falls Trail.  The kids loved that this one was short (.7 miles) and had a pretty good payoff at the falls.

Then we went to a little hobby shop and played RC soccer.  Sadly this looked much cooler online.

We found out about a Where's Waldo event on Main Street.  We picked up our Where's Waldo's pass at the Bountiful Museum and checked out some of the exhibits.

Then we headed down Main Street visiting several shops to find Waldo.

Here is a photo once our house was all down and they had started to dig the hole for our new house.

Then a bigger hole.

And lots of gravel...

A company that Seth's work does business with invited us to the new Spiderman movie.  This is what Lou thought of the movie...everyone else seemed to enjoy it.

Seth's work also had a Lagoon Day.  We went to the waterpark.

We also played lots of games.

Phin chose to get an ICEE.

A little more progress on the hole.

The kids thought it was hilarious that we have a new potty at the old house.
