The things she picks up on
Today we were at the quarter sale at Other Mothers. I was looking for little clothes for my friend Brittany who is having a baby boy in the beginning of May, and lets be honest any excuse to go look at little boy clothes. Anyway, there wasn't much there and I knew there wouldn't be because I got there so late. I found a few things and while purchasing them this lady was turning in a bunch of baby boy clothes for in store credit. The store didn't take a lot of her clothes, like two garbage sacks full. She asked me what I was having and when I was due. Then asked if I wanted all her little boy clothes. I couldn't believe it. It was so nice. So where ever you are Jackie, thanks so much for all those clothes, from me and my friend Brittany. Anyway getting back to the purpose of the post. While at Other Mothers, Evalie pooped her doops, and this time I was prepared to change her diaper. Usually I don't have wipes and a diaper, so I end up leaving early, or making her sit in it for a while. (maybe thats why shes not into potty training) Anyway, I took her into the bathroom and while I was changing her she starts punching the air. Then asks' me "mom pop 'n lock?" I was like "what?" she said "pop 'n lock" Then it all registered on Sesame Street recently they have a Gabby's Flying Fairy School and during it they are learning to dance. Bog likes to pop 'n lock while he dances. I laughed so hard. Shes so cute and impressionable. I was surprised she picked up on it because it was such a short little segment of the story, not the main theme. Evalie is hilarious!

He Loves Me
Jeff absolutely hates it when things have a scent. Good scent/bad scent doesn't really matter. Because of this I don't burn candles, I don't wear perfume, and he doesn't wear cologne. I absolutely LOVE smells, good ones that is. I love walking through Bath and Body Works, sniffing all the new concoctions and rubbing all different kinds up one side of my body and down the other. Jeff steers clear of me those days. Every night I shovel gobs of Mentholatum up my nose hopping that by morning that wonderful smell is still there. Jeff calls me stinky, hardly gives me a kiss goodnight rolls over and goes to bed. I shouldn't say he hates all smells, his favorite is sauted onions and butter, cinnamon, pine, and other Christmas or food smells. For Christmas our friends the Borders gave us a bag full of fun essential and non essential items. Hand sanitizer, grocery lists, make up, a whole slue of things I have put to good use. There was also two small bottles of Axe cologne. I tried for a while to put them in Jeff's sight, as a hint hint. I would say things like "if you only new how many more kisses you would get if you smelled like this" He would say things like "not worth it" So I gave up my fantasy of smelling a man that smelled like Axe, or Tommy, or Aqua Dijio. And then Sunday morning, Valentines Day, we get in the car ready to go to church, and I smelled a stronger wonderful smell. Not the smells I usually smell when Jeff is in the car. I looked at him and said "you smell good!" He said "Happy Valentines Day" I LOVE this man.

My Frugal Husband to a T!
Last night Jeff and I were discussing how we want to handle the labor and delivery of our second child. I am trying for a VBAC and Jeff is supportive of that. My doctor also feels its a good decision for me. Anyway, we were also talking about how nice its going to be to be just us during the labor and delivery. I was asking him since its going to be his second time, if he was wanting to try anything new, like, catching the child, cutting the umbilical cord, bathing the child, etc. His response was so Jeffrey. He shook his head and said, "what do you think I am paying the doctor for? Maybe if he started offering discounts for things. 'Oh fifty bucks off for catching the child', I would do it then." Oh I laughed so hard. I wouldn't say Jeff's cheap side is his main side, we don't fight over it, but sometimes it surprises me the situations it does come out in.

Dear John
**** PG-13 Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried. I was completely impressed by the quality of acting in this movie. Everyone played their role so well. The father impressed me the most. The twist in the movie so completely unexpected, but was all pulled together. I absolutely loved The Notebook, and this is the same author but also the same director. I might even venture to say I liked "Dear John" better. Especially the cleanliness.

What have I been doing?
I know you are asking this because its a rare occasion that I let my blog go without update for such a long period of time. The answer is LOSING MY MIND, yet being able to concentrate and be productive at the same time. I guess its the standard symptoms for NESTING. About a month and a half ago, I had all this energy to start projects finish them, start new ones finish them, organize, simplify, clean, spend money, budget, plan our entire life goals, plan meals for a week, cook, genealogy, educate myself of how to get a construction loan, a mortgage loan, get a realtor, and even take on the task of looking for a new home, already built or build a new one, which ever seems to work. So yes, I have been nesting. I never had this with Evalie, ever! With her it was more, "well she needs clothes and a bed and some diapers, so I guess I had better buy this stuff. Oh and since I am home all day long I guess I could clean the house." It was a balance of need meeting desire. This is way more intense than that. I have made Charlie's bedding, bought Evalie a whole bedroom set, made a nursing cover up, made another blanket, bib, and spit up rag set, made a few hair flowers for Evalie, a few broaches for family, filed paperwork, organized closests, done temple sessions, plan a family reunion in August, downsized, managed money, oh and made a baby! it goes on and on. I am exhausted at night, yet I can't sleep a wink, another difference between 1st pregnancy and 2nd pregnancy, I wake up early, well for me early, 7:30 and start a whole round of what can I accomplish today that will be so extremely satisfying. Blogging unfortunately is not on the list of things I should accomplish that would be so extremely satisfying. But, I know once this is done I will look at it with some self accomplishment, knowing that while I did it I also filed my taxes and did research for housing and feel so good. I wish I was this productive all the time. This is great.
