Mario Party: Star Rush is a party video game developed by NDcube and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS (pictured) in 2016. The game deviates from the turn-based gameplay present throughout the Mario Party series and the car-based gameplay introduced in Mario Party 9, with players rolling dice and moving simultaneously on non-linear, grid-like game boards. Gameplay revolves around multiplayer game modes, including a main mode in which up to four playable characters compete in a board game featuring various minigames, sharing the objective of obtaining the most stars. The game sold more than 88,000 copies and received mixed reviews; some critics praised the series's new direction and the removal of the car-oriented gameplay featured in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10, while criticism was directed toward the repetitive game modes and the lack of game boards and minigames. Star Rush was followed by Mario Party: The Top 100, a 2017 minigame compilation for the 3DS. (Full article...)

Eighty-six players have led the National Football League (NFL) in the number of receiving touchdowns in a season since official records began to be kept during the 1932 season. In American football, passing, along with running, is one of the two main methods of advancing the ball down the field. A receiving touchdown is scored when a player catches the ball in the field of play and advances it into the end zone, or catches it while already being within the boundaries of the end zone. The record for receiving touchdowns in an NFL season is 23, set by Randy Moss (pictured) during the 2007 season. Don Hutson led the league in receiving touchdowns nine times, the most of any player in league history. Hutson also holds the record for the two longest streaks leading the league in receiving touchdowns, doing so for four consecutive seasons (1935 to 1938) and then for five consecutive years, from 1940 to 1944. Tripedalia cystophora is a species of box jellyfish in the family Tripedaliidae. It is native to the Caribbean Sea and the central Indo-Pacific. Its translucent yellowish-brown, box-shaped bell measures about 1 cm (0.4 in) across, with three tentacles extending from each corner. It inhabits shallow waters and is known to feed on the copepod Dioithona oculata. The jellyfish has four rhopalia, each bearing six eyes of four different types. Using visual cues, it can avoid obstacles and remain within sunlit patches of water where its prey congregates. It hunts by slowly sinking through the water with its tentacles spread to snare its prey. Photograph credit: Jan Bielecki, Alexander K. Zaharoff, Nicole Y. Leung, Anders Garm and Todd H.
