After the previous (access-locked, triggery) post, I immediately went running for an hour while listening to The Black Parade. Most of the time when I feel fucked up in the head it is not possible to just put on The Black Parade and run until it's over, but in this case I had the time, so I did.
I was almost home, slowing into a cool-down for the cathartic crescendo of Famous Last Words, when my phone abruptly connected to a nearby neighbour's PS4 and started playing Billie Jean again.
I frowned. I put my phone back on Famous Last Words.
Ten seconds later, it started playing Papa Roach.
I went into settings and disconnected my phone from this stranger's PS4 and went back to MCR.
Again, several seconds later, it was playing Papa Roach again.
I tried to block the PS4 and started running again to try to get out of range faster. Soon enough it was playing Rage Against The Machine instead.
Somewhere in one of those nearby houses, someone is swearing up and down wondering why their music system kept trying to play the same My Chemical Romance song over and over.
I'm good at keeping a journal but not good at continuously doing it in the one place. I'll do it handwritten for a while, then privately on Evernote, then back on here for a bit, then try to pretend twitter is sufficent for longform. Anyway. This week it's here.
