PIXY (Hangul:픽시) was a South Korean girl group formed by ALLART Entertainment and Happy Tribe Entertainment. Originally a six-member group, Ella and Satbyeol departed from the group on August 27, 2022, while Dajeong left on June 20, 2024, and Lola left on September 15, 2024. Rinji left the group in February 2025 after graduating from Hanlim Multi-Art School. The group is presumed to have disbanded silently.

On September 27, 2022 it was announced that ALLART trainee Rinji would be added to lineup, beginning with the band's European Tour. The group debuted on February 24, 2021 with the digital single "With My Wings".

History[]

2020: Pre-debut[]

Ella was the former leader of the group Cherry Bullet under the stage name Mirae. She left the group on December 13, 2019, with members Kokoro and Linlin due to personal reasons. Satbyeol was a former member of the group Girls' Alert. On April 24, 2020, the company Roots Entertainment pushed back the release of the group's album due to worsening situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Three members chose to stay, while Satbyeol would join a new agency. Satbyeol also participated in JTBC's Mix Nine, where she finished 93rd. Dajeong was a former member of the kids group SUPA, the group later disbanded in 2018.

In June 2020, the group's Twitter account was launched. A month later, their other accounts (TikTok and YouTube) were created.

2021: Debut with "With My Wings", fandom name, Bravery and Temptation[]

On February 24, PIXY released their first digital single, "With My Wings" with the title track, "Wings".[1]

On April 26, on their official fan cafe, the group's fandom name was revealed to be "WINXY", a combination of "Wings" and their group name "Pixy".[2] With this announcement, they also announced their first comeback would be on May 19, with the mini album Fairy forest: Bravery.[3]

On September 10, the group announced their second mini album Fairy forest: Temptation, released on October 7.[4]

On December 9, the group announced their second digital single "Call Me", released on December 14.[5]

2022: Ella's hiatus, Reborn, first U.S. tour, Ella and Satbyeol's departures, first Europe tour, addition of Rinji, "Trick or Treat"[]

On March 11, ALLART Entertainment released a statement announcing that Ella would be taking a hiatus due to health issues, particularly personal stress and physical disability.[6] The group would continue to temporarily promote as five members for the time being until she returns.

On May 28, PIXY announced their third mini album Reborn, to be released on June 15.[7] Ella would not be participating in the album's recording and promotions due to focusing on her recovery.[8][9]

On July 27, 2022, the group revealed they would be going on their first United States tour PIXY Didn't See Us Coming Tour.[10] Expected to begin August 11, 2022, in Los Angeles, California,[11] However, on August 4, it was announced that the concert was cancelled due to visa issues and all tickets would be refunded.[11]

The PIXY visited Otacon in Washington, D.C. July 29-31. They performed live and held a fan meeting.

On August 27, Allart Entertainment announced that members Ella and Satbyeol would be leaving PIXY with the group to be reorganized as four members.[12]

On September 27, Allart Entertainment announced that trainee Rinji, would be joining the group at the start of their PIXY Wanna be Your Villain 1st European Tour.[13][14]

On December 15, 2022, the group announced that they would be releasing an unreleased song titled "Trick or Treat" on the 18th at 18:00 KST.[15] On December 18, a concept clip for the song was released on YouTube.[16]

2023:Chosen Karma, first U.S. tour, European tour, "The Voice"[]

On February 25, the group will take part in The Next: K-Pop Girl Groups VR Battle,, in which they compete against four other groups in a performance competition.[17] The show will include fan team missions, 20th century hit missions, and 2000s K-pop dance song missions.

On February 9, 2023, ALLART Entertainment announced that PIXY would officially be making a comeback this March.[18]

On February 19, the group posted a trailer hinting at an upcoming comeback.[19] On February 20, the group released the scheduler for their fourth mini album Chosen Karma, to be released on March 10.[20]

On March 2, the band announced that they would embark on the PIXY 1st American Tour 'Karma Is A B' in the United States. The band will kick off the tour with their first performance in Phoenix on April 10, 2023.

Starting July 1, 2023, the PIXY have been appointed Cultural and Artistic Ambassador of Gimhae City. Together with PIXY, various promotional activities will be carried out to promote the city for 2 years. ALLART Entertainment, a PIXY agency, moved its headquarters to Gimhae in June.

On September 8, PIXY announced that they will be embarking on a European tour entitled "Last Night In The Dark City" in November and December. 9 countries and 12 cities will be visited.

On October 20, the group announced that they are releasing a digital EP on October 24.[21] The title was later revealed to be The Voice.[22]

2024: Dajeong's departure, Lola and Rinji's departure[]

On June 20, Dajeong announced on her Instagram that she would be leaving the group.[23]

On September 15, 2024, Lola shared a handwritten letter on her Instagram account which confirmed that her contract with ALLART Entertainment had ended on September 11 and that she would be leaving PIXY.[24]

On February 20, 2025, Rinji was referred to as a former member of PIXY during her graduation from Hanlim Multi Art School, confirming that she has withdrawn from the group. It is presumed that the group had quietly disbanded sometime in late 2024.
