Satbyeol (샛별), is an South Korean singer and rapper under Roots Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl groups PIXY and GsA.
She made her solo debut on October 13, 2024 with the digital single "Don't Know Why".
Career[]
2017–2019: GsA, MIXNINE[]
Originally using the stage name Saetbyeol, she debuted as a member of GsA on May 25, 2017 with the group's first digital single "Dreamgirls".
In October, she became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE. She was eliminated in episode 7 after ranking 161st place.[1]
On April 23, 2020, it was announced that she had left GsA following the termination of her contract due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[2]
2020: Debut with PIXY[]
On July 3, 2020, she revealed via Instagram that she became a member of PIXY.[3] The group debuted on February 24, 2021 with the digital single "With My Wings".
2021-2022:Hiatus and departures[]
During promotions for Reborn, Satbyeol was in the hospital due to a bad condition and underwent a medical examination, despite the fact that the treatment and medication were taken, the promotions were completed with the best efforts.
Satbyeol to Stop Activities After Entering Otacon Due to Health Concerns. She will fly back to Korea after their concert and will not be able to participate in their South American tour.
On August 27, ALLART Entertainment announced that both she and Ella left the group due to poor physical health conditions.[4]
2024: Solo debut[]
On October 10, it was announced that Satbyeol will make her solo debut on October 13 with the digital single "Don't Know Why".[5]
