Keyboard or PS5 DualSense?
So...
I've been playing with the keyboard, but I can't quite master the manoeuvres and special abilities.
I bought the PS5 controller to see if I can have a better gaming experience in ACE COMBAT 8, to master all the manoeuvres and controls available in combat.

What's your preference, and why? :ac8_FighterIcon:

Controller all the way in flight game, Stick feel better than pressing WASD in these kind of game :3 Except for War Thunder.... That game K&M are pretty good!
I have a flightstick (T.Flight HOTAS) that is supported by the game but I played through it the first time with my Dualsense and it's very good with it. Accurate and easy to use.

HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. HA.

And you never will with that input method.
Any controller is going to be a better experience than mkb, even vintage Sidewinder flight sticks
Keyboard only is actually a solid way to play these games, I should know since I've played almost every ace combat game with a controller and a keyboard, and some of the best ACE7 players were keyboard players. But I'll say that if you do have a Dualsense, then I'm begging you to play this with it. The haptics are so unbelievably good in this game.
I've been using my Steam Controller. Played 7 on the Xbox Series Controller.
Do your self a favor and play it with controller. From what I've read M&K is straight up cheeks and you'll just ruin your experience and probably develop carpal tunnel as well.
Dualsense all the way.
Don't even think abaout keyboard and mouse.
It also supports the DS5s rumble profile if you connect it via USB-C.
Dualsense, but not because it's necessarily more comfortable.
The main issue with regular keyboards is that their inputs are binary - a key is either pressed or released, 100% or 0%, with nothing in between. That's a pretty big disadvantage in flight sims and racing games, where precise analog control is needed for steering, throttle and braking

That said, if you have a high-tier magnetic keyboard like Wooting, you can enable gamepad mode in its drivers, which makes your keys behave like analog controller inputs. The game can then detect how far you're pressing each key rather than simply registering an on/off signal.
