Skeleflex
I just picked up the Skeleflex Velociraptor at an out of town Wal-Mart. Judging by the pic of the Ceratosaur, it looks identical except for the head, feet, and the colour of the plastic. It is also bigger than I expected (I missed the comment that the Ceratosaur is a little over a foot long). Its well worth the $10 in my opinion. I'll try to get a pic up if I can find my memory card reader. | | Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | 4:49 pm [dvandom]

Skeleflex!
Wild Planet is putting out a skeleton building set called Skeleflex that might satisfy your Xevoz jonesing. The ball and socket joints don't seem fully compatible with Xevoz (although I only checked one Xevoz), but they're interchangable between Skeleflex sets. The sets I saw at Wal-Mart today were real dinos (Velociraptor, Ceratosaur, Triceratops, Plesiosaur), but the poster inside suggests there's also going to be a line of fantasy monsters. $10 sets that come in bone-shaped cases. identification please
The other day I found a bag of random toys at the local thrift shop, I bought it specificly for a transformer and power ranger part(s) I needed, after opening the bag I was surprised to find a xevoz figure in there (thought i was the only one who bought these) what makes it stranger is its one i've never seen before, it sorta looks like a mix of the ninja figure and the wave 1 neosapien guy except the colours are very differnt, anyone know what wave/series this was from and if it was maybe an exclusive or something? Wave 4 has arived!
I finally got my wave 4 figures! and as is custom to me, heres a few pictures. and I wish I ordered more of the super hero one, (I only got two) and he's already sold out on the site. but still an awesome figure (I plan on repainting the extra one as superman) the more I see of this toyline the more frustrated I get that it was canceled. (thanks walmart!) I plan to see if theres any hope for xevoz at botcon this year (and try to find wave 3 if I can) Current Mood: pleased | | Monday, August 15th, 2005 | 4:19 pm [dvandom]

They are mine, yay!
Got my Final Four box from Hasbrotoyshop.com today, wootini. Gonna need to pick up some more storage boxes before I open them, though. Edit: Okay, I had enough space for one, so I opened Infil-Traitor on the grounds that it was my least favorite of the lot. I've revised my opinion upwards, though. Especially because of the little mini-robot that lives in his chest as a pilot. Heh. And the fact that the figure can carry almost all of its parts without looking stupid (there's a spare arm and a spare head and that's all that can't be reasonably equipped). HasbroToyShop.com gets more in! Sorta.
The "final four" are once again available for order on HasbroToyShop.com. With an estimated ship date of August 31. My guess is that they haven't actually had these made yet, but will be making their order to the factory soon, based on the online sales. Essentially a pre-order in disguise. AAAAARGH!
I've been watching HasbroToyShop.com every day, to see when the "final four" Xevoz came on sale. This morning when I checked, they were still "coming soon". And then they went on sale and ALL SOLD OUT, probably mostly to people who will turn around and put them on eBay, before I got online again to check. I am quite annoyed. Grim Skull - odd Hyperfury choices
I finally completed my Xevoz collection (not gonna go for the Asia-only last gasp releases) by picking up the TRU exclusive packs off Amazon for cheap. While the Omega Guard's Biomecha bits are a decent selection (chest, head, upper arms, upper legs, three hand-replacement weapons), Grim Skull's Hyperfury parts are kinda...bwah? Grim Skull gets the flame wings, but not the flame wing backpack (and the wings don't really work well on the Skulljack backpack). He gets the thumb/palm half of the articulated flame hands, but not the fingers. He gets one missile, but no launcher. He also gets both figures' lame brass knuckles things, although those at least "work" on the figure. My guess would be that the Hyperfury's molds split up a lot of bits in a weird way, and giving just one or two trays' worth of bits to Grim Skull left him with a lot of partial bits. Side note: replacing the flags on Grim Skull's backpack with the two spare heads looks pretty good. | | Saturday, October 16th, 2004 | 10:47 am [skyknightxi] |
Prototype bomber build
And I haven't even had the sets for a week...So you have some idea what I have to work with, here's the sets I have... Unnatural: Skull Jack, Grim Skull, Iron Spectre Neo Sapiens: Alpha Ranger, Shadow Blade Meta-Beast: Razorclaw Hyperfuries: Inferno Fury Biomecha: Sledge Trooper Sectoid: Bone-Cutter The white value is listed first. An asterisk signifies a gold glyph. *Poison Bite (Sectoid, 5C-7C) *Bone Cracker, Skull Jack version (Unnatural, 4C-4CC) *Spectral Crash (Unnatural, 7CC-1CCC) Shattered Earth (Unnatural, 6B-2C) Rage Mail (Meta-Beast, 2S-2CCC) Dive Bomb (Sectoid, 5B-3S) It's meant to be a little weighted towards white. As far as I can tell, both bombs should be on the same side (one bomb isn't dependable, while three or more makes you suffer the bomb's effects a little too often, from what I can see), so weighting is needed as insurance. Still, there needs to be a way to handle anyone trying to attack by black, which is why Poison Bite and Bone Cracker were weighted towards black... | | Wednesday, August 11th, 2004 | 2:09 am [unicronq]
