Who ever said...

that going to the doctor's couldn't be fun?

Well, it was fun until they got four shots all in 1 day (1 was their flu shot). That is eight (as if you can't add) shots that mom has to watch her babies suffer through! So not fun for mom and especially not for babies!

One Year Stats
Allyson:
16.2 lbs 26 1/2 in. long
Haleigh:
14.8lbs 251/2 in. long

Mini Me

Allyson is my mini me, which is a silly thing to say when she has an identical twin sister. Since her hair has grown in a little more and her cheeks and sometimes more chubbier you can see her in me more and Clif in Haleigh.
Allyson is going to join Spencer and I in the sensitivity department too. Since Spencer was little he would cry if I was crying. I would even fake sometimes because I had never seen a baby do that before. He is still very sensitive and because I know what it is like to be that way, (it is good, but can be bad too) I try and help him be not too sensitive. Allyson now does the same thing, but even more so. Addy never did it and neither has Haleigh.   It is interesting how parts of their personalities appear so early on. The twins however like to keep me guessing, they switch their personalities so often that I can't even finish their birthday post because one day one is so easy going and then the next day the other one seems to be the easy going one.

I need to get a picture of Allyson eating a sucker, because she looks very similar to this one of me, and she loves suckers. Haleigh loves them too, but not as much as Allyson. Allyson not only devours them in minutes, but she often will be found with more than one in her hand. What is neat about this picture is we both have on the same type of bib. My mother-in-law made those over the head bibs like I wore when I was little.

It will be fun to watch and compare as she grows to see if she continues to look like me. It will be interesting to see if Haleigh will start looking more like me as well- which I know sounds silly since they are identical and I agree that they look SO much alike. Just at certain times Allyson is SO me and Haleigh is SO Clif.

More Sunday Pictures

Here are the Sunday Pictures that I did take and just haven't gotten around to posting.
I know that there are no stories to these pictures, but if I haven't had time to take pictures of my kids during the week, or have done nothing exciting to take a picture of (which is usually the case) than at least I have these.
I have included some pictures of myself that I absolutely don't like. The fact is, my kids like it when I am in pictures with them and they are what matter to me. It doesn't matter if I look skinny (because even though I have been trying, I know that I am not even close to where I should be), what matters to me is that my kids remember that I cared enough to sit down and take some pictures with them...no matter how much I don't want to right now.

I didn't realize her hair was this short just a few months ago. Her hair grows much faster than mine.
I love these natural, "I love you" poses.

Always have to have the funny ones!

Oh the babies are so little and plump!
I love this one because Allyson looks asleep. I am sure her eyes just closed from the flash, but this just shows why we hardly ever got them all together. They were always so tired after church,

I love Spencer's smile in this picture,

Haleigh is on the Left
Allyson is on the Right
Spencer took a few pictures of us. He did a great job. Too bad he couldn't be in them too.

I am still mourning the loss of my July folders....

Before church- while we were still getting the babies ready.

September 4, 2011
The babies were so cooperative this Sunday, but the big kids wouldn't sit still. So we have a lot of cute baby smiles in these pictures! It is funny how sometimes you can spend more time getting the attention of the ones you shouldn't have to at all! I am not complaining though, they are so good to let me take so many pictures of them!

Silly Girls

These two girls are so funny together. Cousins born two days apart should have this much fun together, but they haven't seen each other since they were about 18 months. They played as if not a day had passed since then; as if they were the best of friends. It really makes me think about them being together in heaven and how close they must have been. I know they most likely won't get to grow-up together, but I hope through letters and the occasional visit they can always remain the best of cousins.

Addelyn & Georgia-  Look at her beautiful brown eyes and long curly hair. I also love her smile! They both have dimples!

A must have

Every house needs a deck with patio furniture. While the kids and I were visiting my parents in August, they insisted on eating almost every meal out on the deck. They really enjoyed themselves and it made for a really peaceful morning for me. Although, I am sure the peaceful morning had more to do with my mom helping me feed 4 hungry children, than the fact that they were sitting outside. Regardless, they loved, loved being outside on that deck! When we get a house- getting a patio and furniture will have to be one of our tax return must haves!

Is that you Addy?

Or Shirley Temple?

Sunday Pictures

We haven't been able to take our Sunday pictures in awhile. Usually one or both of the babies fall asleep on the way home, the kids are taking their clothes off as we walk through the door, or we are just glad to have made it to church on time and back all safe and sound that that is enough "torture" for one day. So to make up for lost time I made sure to take a few extra today.

Addy Princess- I cut her hair all by myself last night. She won't allow me to do her hair any longer and her hair is to thin and stingy to keep long without doing anything to it. I was sad to do it because I love curling her hair, but she looks so much cleaner like this! I have never done anything like that before, and while I realize it is not perfect, I was still proud of myself. Makes me take going to cosmetology school much more seriously. I would love to be able to do that on the side and it is something I have always enjoyed, but just never thought I would be good at.

Just wanted to show this before and after I edited. Kind of fun.
Back View
Spencer Wencer- Wants to be in the picture, but has a hard time sitting still enough to take a good one. He sure is a handsome boy!
Allyson- The kids call her the grumpy baby. Does he look grumpy to you? No! She just will you let you know what she wants, when she wants it. She is actually very funny, especially at night!
Haleigh- So silly! Such personality and almost always content!
It is getting much harder to tell them apart. Clif and I finding ourselves actually mixing them up, GASP! Their hair is getting so long, but is still really short in the front (especially Haleigh). It is ringlets in the back.
My kids- are so full of energy and so busy and are so loved!

Now join us for some daily Sant humor.
Hmmm, that purple toy sure looks good....
I might just have to try it for myself.
Ah, got it!

*Side note: Clif and I are both currently in Primary so it can be a little crazy. Clif starts in the classroom so he takes the kids backpacks and the babies car seats and puts them away and then goes to class. While he does that I take Addy and Spencer to class, get my copies made, and then go around looking for someone to watch my babies for me while I teach. Today we had the primary program and we started up there with the babies, Addy, and Spencer. When Spencer blocked the stairs with a HUGE fit people started coming and taking kids from us so that was nice. Clif ended up just sitting in the back with Spencer while I had Allyson and another friend of mine had Haleigh. I really wish he wouldn't get so worried about singing in front of people. He was one of the only ones who knew all of the words. The sunbeams all sang I love to See The Temple. It wasn't a big deal that he didn't do it, but I was a little sad that he wouldn't. He wouldn't even go with me sitting right there with him since I teach the CTR 5 class.*
