On Saturday Kaiya competed in the Judges Invitational. This was her first competition of the season (there was another meet in July but she chose not to participate because it was scheduled on a Sunday). Anyways, Kaiya rocked it. She earned blue ribbons for vault & beam...and red ribbons for bars and floor (blue & red ribbons are the 2 highest level ribbons you can earn). Thus, she won a gold medal.
Everyone earns a bronze medal for participating...but you can earn a silver or gold medal if your scores are high enough to reach the silver or gold tier (does this make sense at all?). As you can see, only Kaiya and one other girl had scores high enough to win a gold medal.
We are so proud of Kaiya- she's an amazing gymnast. The Spring State Championship meet is in 3 weeks...we'll keep you posted on how she does!

Random Pics
A quick sampling of pictures I've taken over the past month...
Mina holding Mei.
I love this pic of Mina- she looks so grown up now that she's no longer the baby of the family!
Brian and Mei.
Mei smiled for the first time 1 day before turning 5 weeks old!
Rocking the double chin...Mei is showing the world that double chins can be attractive...

Dibb Saltwater Croc Day!
I'm really behind on my blogging. I blame it on my 4th child...newborns are hard work! We celebrated another Dibb Saltwater Crocodile Day! If you are unfamiliar with our family holiday refer to this post HERE. Anyways, we had a fun time celebrating the greatness that our family is. Happy croc day everyone!

Me: I'm so tired that when I sleep I'm dreaming of sleep!
Emiko: I can't tell you what I dreamed about last night because there's too many toilet words.
