A Very Belated Happy Halloween

The weekend before Halloween we were scheduled to attend 3 Halloween parties. We fizzled out after the first 2 and bailed out of the last one. But the kids had fun at the AWC Halloween party and the church trunk-or-treat. Mina was Merida from the movie "Brave" and the other girls were the 3 triplet brother bears. I think you can guess what Brian and I were?! I didn't procrastinate like last year so we also carved two pumpkins ($16 each). Photos in absolutely no order at all:

Mina is 5!

Ok, Mina turned 5 on October 20- so I'm a little late. Here's a few pictures from her b-day party. We rented out a room at the community centre nearby our house and hired West Oz Wildlife for the entertainment- and who isn't entertained by animals??? We had a dingo, a koala, and some snakes. It was a fun day...

I love Mina's expression in this pic- I made cupcakes for her b-day- she looks so disappointed that her cake/candle is so itty-bitty. (She wasn't though...I just managed to catch a weird expression.)

Happy birthday to my Mina girl! She's still stubborn as ever and has an amazing independent streak. But we love her and we'll keep her.

Athletics Carnival

A few weeks ago the girls had their school athletics carnival (track/field meet)...all of the girls competed in 5 events: sprint, relay race, discus, long jump, and shot put. They did great & all 3 girls came home with ribbons. Mei and I had a fun time cheering them on. My favorite part of the day was watching Mina turn the long jump into a triple jump- good times.
