Sisters, Sisters- There were never such devoted sisters....

It's my one and only sister Jody's birthday today and I couldn't let the day go by without giving a very loud shout out to her.... so- HAPPY BIRTHDAY JODY!! I'm so thankful to have you as my sister. You are a wonderful sister, aunt and friend to all of us. You are smart, funny, talented, creative, a great cook, a great mom, a mean spades player, and when you're lucky -a good steam roller too! =) I love you and hope you have a fabulous birthday! Thanks for being my sister!!!

LT Again...

A couple of blogs ago- I mentioned that we would probably return to Lake Tahoe for another day trip because we just love that place. Well, wouldn't you know- we went sooner than I expected. Yesterday we headed off to our favorite beach there, along with a couple extra children. =) We decided to let Ellie and Scotty bring a friend which was great and they had a ton of fun together. It was a beautiful day with big puffy clouds in the sky and the water was nice and warm. As I sat there on the beach, I thought to myself what a beautiful world we live in. We live in a world with such chaos around us. I'm thankful to have peaceful places like this to enjoy and escape "the world" and its problems. Once again, We sure do love this place! =)

Pioneer Day's...

Last Saturday our Stake celebrated Pioneer Days at the park. My wonderful mother-in-law joined the kids and I, as they got their faces painted, panned for gold and had YUMMY snow-cones. They also climbed in the jump house and had fun on the swings (did you know the pioneer's had those things?) =) We had a fun time learning about the pioneers and honoring the sacrifices they made for us.

Lake Tahoe..

We took the kids yesterday to visit one of our favorite place..... Lake Tahoe. We loaded up the car with all of our bikes, food and beach gear and had a great day trip. When we got there- we had a fun picnic. Then we rode our bikes along a path next to the lake and found a cute little park (right near the water). When too much fun was had, then we rode back to our car, got ready for the beach and then hiked down. The weather was great (isn't it always great in Tahoe) and going during the week meant that it wasn't crazy busy with tourists. It was a fun day trip and I'm sure it is one that we will make again real soon. We sure love that place! What a view!

Fun at Six Flags....

Last week we were able to go with our friends The Bradfords to Six Flags which was a ton of fun. We had the best weather EVER and had a lot of fun on all the rides. The kids also all got superhero capes which was a huge hit. We all had a great time. Thanks Bradfords for inviting us! Check out Elliot's face on the little kid hot air balloon ride..... love it! =)
