A conversation with Macie

Macie: Mom (whispering in my ear)
Me: Yes Macie
Macie: I want a true love kiss from Conner (a boy at her preschool).
************************************************
While listening to some music with Macie, the singer stopped singing and it was only the band playing music.
Macie: Mom, the person playing the trumpet is playing good.
Me: (amazed that she even recognized that is was a trumpet) yes, he sure is.
Macie: who is playing the trumpet?
Me: I'm not sure.
Macie: Maybe its the guy on top of the Temple... (meaning Moroni)

Cambria...

Have I ever mentioned on here that I LOVE being an adult. Not only are you able to pick what you have for dinner (i.e. cereal, ice-cream, etc.), you also can be spontaneous. One thing that I have really loved over the past 12ish years of our marriage is that we both LOVE to take spontaneous trips. Thankfully we have children that don't mind tagging along with us as we quickly decide to get away for awhile (especially if they get to miss a day of school here and there). =)
So, the opportunity arose to go with my favorite sister and her family to the beautiful land of Cambria where Brians parents live. His parents were out of town so we were able to make use of their wonderful abode. It was a quick trip but we packed the three day weekend into lots of fun and excitement..... along with a little rest and relaxation too!
We found a wonderful 2 mile walkway right along the coast. It was a great way to get the kids tired and enjoy a beautiful view all at the same time.
Our kids are blessed with fantastic cousins whom they love dearly and play well with.
Did I mention the view?
I think I found where I want to live when I grow up..... I could get used to waking up to this view every morning.

It seems every coastal town we visit has the most amazing parks.

and of course..... we must stop and play~
and play...and play.....
and pose...
for the group picture...
while the adults enjoy the view.
Brians dad has built the most amazing tree house that goes into the canyon which is equipped with a fantastic zipline. Could we go to Cambria without trying the zipline...... ummm, what do you think?
Here is Scot as he was about to take off.... I think this boy was in 7th heaven.
then came fearless Ellie....
and Macie Moo joined in too. (How could she not?)
You may wonder, did the adults partake in the funness (if thats even a word) ?
oh yeah!!!!!!!
On her way into the tiny space you have to crawl through to get onto the zipline, Jody bonked her head (which was easy to do) but it definitely didn't stop her.
The handsome boys looking down at the crazy zipliners.
It was a fantastic adventure with the Jensen clan. We only lost Brian's parents cat a few times which hindered our adventurous fun for only a little bit =) Im glad we were able to make some fun memories.... and once again~ I'm glad I'm an adult!
