Happy Halloween

Goleta Beach

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday, so we went to the beach for a couple hours. We decided to walk out to the black rocks, and it took longer than we expected, but it was a nice time out.

We hadn't seen these big sandpipers before.

Tons of little mussels on the rocks.

And there was a little shelf with a few sea anemones.

On the way back to the car, Luke kept picking up rocks to throw in the ocean.

Lake Los Carneros

On Saturday we went to Lake Los Carneros to feed the ducks. We hadn't been there in quite a while, that I almost didn't recognize if we were in the spot we always go to because the water level was down and it seemed like the plants had grown so much.

We saw the big duck again.

Got a couple action shots of one of the ducks coming in for a landing.

We had never seen white ducks there before.

They were quite bold, because they just came right out of the water and started waddling and quacking towards us. We ran out of bread by this time, and then we noticed the goose hanging out with them and decided to start backing away because we didn't want to get attacked by the goose. Haha.

They kept following us!

Then they finally decided to leave. It was weird because it seemed like the goose was their leader.

Pumpkin patch family night

We went to the pumpkin patch with some kids from Luke's preschool class a couple nights ago.

This is Kaitlyn, one of Luke's classmates, and his teacher's daughter.

All the kids spent a lot of time playing in the hay.

The kids were throwing hay at each other, and then Luke threw some at me.

Look at that mischievous face! He was going to throw some hay at Mark here.

He pretended to fall down a bunch of times.

Went on a couple of hay rides.

We tried going through the corn maze, but we just ended up coming back out the entrance. Next time we go, we'll try again.

Abby's birthday party

Last weekend we went to Abby's birthday party. It was a Tinkerbell themed party, so they got a Tinkerbell bouncy house, and Abby looked adorable in her Tinkerbell outfit.

I only took a couple of pictures, but Luke spent a lot of time in the jumper.
