mud bath

Patrick and I were outside in the garage cleaning some stuff up while the kids played. I heard the hose turn on and Payten initially was just washing the car, apperantly that soon changed to making mud and painting the house and his sister with it! He didn't mind being hosed down but Lilly sure did.

my best friend today

Around 10:00 i was noticing that it was getting pretty warm in the house, I assumed it was just because i'm pregnant. Then I noticed Lilly was sweating a little (she sweats easily), i went to check the thermostat cause earlier that week it had reset itself. Even worse it was not on, something has happened to, it i tried troubleshooting all the normal stuff like circuit breaker and what not but no luck, so now we are sitting in the house with fans blowing in our faces. I'm just glad we have a nice stock pile of otter=pops

More fireworks!!!

Sorry no pictures for this one. Yesterday was pioneer day here in Utah, normally we are up in Idaho at my family reunion camping and river rafting, but we decided to sit it out this year, i'm going to miss it. So since we were home we got to get together with Patricks family and had a BBQ, waterballoon fight, and of course ended the night with firworks. The kids had a ton of fun being with cousins and running around outside. Lilly's favorite part (not counting stealing other people's food) was the crackling fireworks she would imitate them after they went off with waving her hands in the air saying "crack, crack, crack". Payten just loved being with other kids playing.

it's only Tuesday?!?!

What a week already, Yesterday we took Payten into the Dr. and found out he had contracted athletes foot from the swimming pool. Later that night we were out looking at new vehicles and on the way home Lilly started throwing up (a little odd but she's shown some signs of being under the weather). Jump to 9:30 at night and Payten starts throwing up. Now I know something is up cause my kids never get sick at the same time like this it's always one after the other. Patrick and I came to the conclusion that it may be food poisoning from dinner. Luckily I have an amazing son who knows to throw up in the toilet, cause he had to every hour. Around 3:30am I though it odd that I hadn't heard from lilly I assumed she would need to throw up as much as Payten was, I was right I went in her room and could smell the disaster but she was sound asleep, I know this is beyond gross but I didn't want to wake the beast so I just let her sleep and took care of it this morning. (I love that Lilly is smilling in the picture even though she does not feel good)

a day in the life

This is Lilly's new favorite thing to do, I guess she couldn't find her doll so Payten will do. And I swear they are normally dressed but we had just come inside and their clothes were filthy.

Early to rise.....early to crash

After waking up at 6:30am and wanting to stay up and play with his cousin Skyler and not take a nap, around 5:30 he decided to crash on the couch. (and yes that is a popular science magazine he is reading).

update

Here is a pictures of Lilly's lip two days after her accident. It looks so much better, the swelling is gone and now it's just bruised and scabbed over. We could only get a picture of her lip while she slept because anytime i've tried to take one of her since the accident she tells me "no, no, no" and runs away.

cars........

Yesterday on my way to the water park with the kids and one of my sisters the car decided to break down it was a horrible noise!! Luckily my mother and sister in-law were close by to come and pick us up but there wasn't enough room. So it was also nice that my mom's work was just down the street and i could barrow her car to take the kids to her house till Patrick got off work. Unfortunately it was bad enough that not even Patrick could fix it. So we had to have it towed (thank goodness our insurance covers that). The thing that stinks is that we have had the car paid off and are planning to sell it so we can upgrade to a bigger vehicle (have you ever tried to put 3 full sized car seats in the back of a car, it doesn't work too well). But we also need to get Patrick a newer comuter car...... one that's A/C actually works and the windows can roll down! I swear we have put more money into our "nicer" car than our banged up 17yr. old car.
