Nesting
What is nesting all about? Well after today,
let me tell you all about it. I know it has been
forever since I have posted on the blog so I thought
I better update it. I don't have any pictures, but
promise they will come soon. I know I am getting
close to my due date, but maybe am in a little denial.
I have been trying to get things ready, but failing
miserable! However after today, things are looking
a lot better. It started weeks ago when I was looking
for a bed and mattress for Owen. It took me forever
to decide. I really am indecisive when it comes to
some things and this is one of them. Well I found
bed and ordered it. After about 3 weeks I called
on it and they told me it was still in San Diego in the
warehouse and there was no PO order on the
headboard. Come to find out the bed has been
discontinued? Are you kidding me?? No one
even bothered to call and tell me. Well needless
to say, I talked to the Manger and actually was
able to get the model off the floor along with a night
stand and the dresser for a screaming deal. I was
very happy about that b/c I did not want to start
looking for beds all over again since I was finally
settled on this one. Well then today we got the mattress
after multiple ordeals with that too. So I put it in Owen's
new room that Aaron worked so hard at getting done. He
put a chair rail up and painted the bottom blue. It looks
so good. So I cleaned up the whole room and Owen is
spending his first night on his big boy bed in his new room.
Will have to let you know how he does. Then I took his
old room apart and set it all up for the baby! It looks
so cute. Aaron's mom actually made all my bedding and it
is adorable. So now I am ready. It is amazing how much
you can get done when you put your mind to it. So I will
take pictures of Owen's new room and the baby's new room
when I get the last few final details done. Okay, sorry for
the long post. I am long winded today and my husband
thinks I am going crazy and freaking out. I am not
really, but just knew I had a lot to do. Guys just don't
understand or appreciate the things that we as girls do!!

Happy New Year!!!

I can't believe it is 2009!! Crazy how time flies
and all that happens in a year, only to have another
one approach so quickly!! For New Year's we
went over to Portland to have a late Christmas
with Aaron's family. We had a great trip. It
was fun having Christmas all over again!! Above
are the stocking that Nancy (Aaron's mom)
made all the kids for their Christmas gift. I
absolutely LOVE mine and have to say they
were one of my favorite gifts. She made 4 for
each of us to complete our little family!! My
stockings are the 2 in the middle on the top.
LOVE THEM!!
Daphne and Owen posing for a quick picture in
their Christmas pajamas!! He had so much
fun playing with his cousins. I am pretty sure
he was sad to leave and wake up this morning
only to find his mom and no playmates!!!
Owen and Daphne looking at books. Daphne is
getting quite good at reading too!!!
Owen giving Daphne a big hug to Thank her for
his Christmas present!! Isn't this so precious?

He got a cool little Nike back pack with an
aqua doodle and coloring book inside.
Lili got a bucket of play food for one of her
presents and Owen loved playing with it.
Lili and her new apron that Grandma make her.
Looking GOOD Lili!!
Grandpa made Owen a tool box that came
with lots of tools in it. He loved it and
thought playing "tools" was pretty cool.
Lili and Owen in their new aprons. Grandma
made Owen an apron too, to go with his tool
set~ it was a little more masculine though
and has some cows on it!!!
All the kiddos plus Aunt Ericka. We wanted
a picture with all the kids, but of course
they didn't want to cooperate, hence the
lovely picture!!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Ericka!! Ericka's birthday
was on the 4th so Saturday night we celebrated
her birthday. Kara made wonderful spaghetti
dinner followed with Black Forest pie.
Aunt Ericka making her wish and blowing
out her ONE candle!!!
Daphne, Kara, Owen, Ron and Ellis. New Year's
Day Night we rented Wallie and all watched it
as a family. The older kids seemed to really
enjoy it. Pretty cute movie!!!
Bath time of course is always fun for the kids. Owen
especially loves it b/c he has someone else to play with
in the tub. They all played so well together and Owen
just loved having them around. He misses them already.
This is when I get sad and miss family the most and wish
they were around. I feel bad for Owen and that he doesn't
get to grow up around his cousins, aunts, uncles and
grandparents. It just makes me so sad!! Anyhow...
it was a wonderful trip. We always have fun when we
are there. Thanks for everything. Love you all and miss
you~Aaron, Kelly and Owen
