Last Thursday, Ms. Judy informs me that 2 little girls have RSV. I was a little worried, but I tried to put it out my mind. Friday morning, she woke up a low grade temp, so I took her to the doctor just to be on the safe side. The doctor tested her for RSV, and it came back negative. Thank you Jesus, I thought. It was just a little cold, nothing really to worry about, I could deal with this. I tried to keep her home with me, read earlier blog, one more day, but on Tuesday she went back to Ms. Judy's. Yesterday morning, I got her up out of bed, and her skin felt like fire. I took her temp, and it was 101. Back to the doctor we went. They again tested her for RSV and this time it came back positive. So, we have RSV and a double ear infection. This makes for very long nights. She doesn't want to be held, but she doesn't want to be put down. All she does is cry. I know it's hard for her to breathe, so she can't really cry well. It's just a whine. I hate it for her. I wish I could take it away from her and have her sickness. We have ear drops and antibiotics for her ears, but there's really nothing we can do for the RSV. She threw up in mass amounts last night, so much so that I just ended up holding her body over the sink in the bathroom. I also don't think she's going to the bathroom enough, so while my Kathy is at my house helping me out today, she's got a diaper count going. I hope the doctor's office has me on speed dial, because I may be calling them back tomorrow if she doesn't seem to be improving any.
For now, we will keep our fingers crossed and see what happens during the next 24 hours, I guess. I will keep every one posted on her.

Bring Your Children to Work Day 2009
I had planned on keeping Maddie Gray home with me today, Monday, since her cough still hasn't gotten any better, and she continued to run a low grade temp all weekend. Turns out Dr. Drummond's son is here as well. He doesn't feel well either. We also didn't have a nurse at work today, so my Aunt Stephanie came in to help out. She was also kind enough to take my sweet baby home to my house, so I could finish out the rest of Bring Your Children to Work Day 2009 sans baby.
We hope you have a great week!!!!

Rolling Over
I am convinced that Maddie Gray knows how to roll over from her back to her front, she's just got a little Covington in her. She absoultly refuses to do so. I can give her a nudge, and she will go the rest of the way, but she won't do it on her own. She can go from her tummy to her back, but she often refuses to do that as well. She's gotten a very, "I can do this myself" attitude lately. I'm thinking it's only going to get worse from here. Thanks Mom for hoping I would have a daughter "just like me". It seems as though your wish has come true! Does this mean she's acts more like her mother than she looks? I wonder...
She has also started to put her tongue to roof of her mouth and make a noise I cannot even begin to immitate, because, well... I have teeth and she doesn't! It's so funny. She really only makes this noise when she's not happy, and I used to think it was so funny, but know I feel like I've been electricified! Tonight, Josh and I braved it and went to church. She was fussy the whole way there so needless to say it was a long 15 minutes. Thankfully when we got there she was better and was the only baby in the nursery, so she got all the attention and was fed right away. When we picked her up she was in a pretty good mood, but by the time we pulled out of the parking lot... there comes the noise. I promise I think the road grew longer between church and our house. I thought we would never get here. As soon as we walked inside I scooped her up out of her carseat, put her pj's on her, and put her in the bed. I thought she would be better, but she screamed like I had just punted her across the room. Thank goodness for ugly blankets right? Once she got that, she was O-U-T. Josh went in there to check on her around 8:45, and Miss Thing was wide awake! What am I going to do with her? If she weren't so darn cute...

Prayers for Harper Anne Miller
I have been trying to sit and write this post for days now, but I never seem to have the time. Tonight after church and house got silent, I thought I would update those who have been faithfully praying for this baby and her family...
Harper Anne Miller was born Jan. 16, 2009 weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz. She is the cousin of our WONDERFUL Director of Children's Ministery at our church here in Meridian. Josh and I have asked so many prayers warriors to be in prayer for this precious child of God while she underwent surgery to repair 2 holes in her tiny little heart. I am a firm believer that where ever people gather in the name of the Lord and are in prayer for the same thing, He will answer. With this being said, Harper is doing so well!!!! She is eating 2 oz. every 2 hours, and her parents are hopeful that they will finally get to come home to Meridian on Friday! What a blessing. I do ask everyone please remember Harper and her family in your prayers as they continue their journey of recovery. Thank you for being such wonderful Prayer Warriors for this child and her family.
