Coolest Jail

So this is, I think the coolest thing that a Jail warden could ever do. These are the inmates from the CPDRC ( Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center) in the Philipenes. They are real inmates in jail for rape, murder, durgs etc. They all dance (every inmate is required to) for rehabilitaion. My friend Sarah put "Thriller" on her blog and I thought it was great so I went to You-tube, there are a lot of them! Look them up " )

Here are a few for you to see what they do! And yes the one in the pink is a guy and he does like to dress like that. ")

A news thing put on You-tube from the philipenes said that they haven't had violence between them for about a year now. They inmates (most of them) like it. One, the "star" dancer of this thriller video ( the one playing Michael Jackson) , says his son is proud to say that his dad is now a "You-tube dancer" and that the jail life has changed since they started this form of rehabilitaion. Cool huh?!

So wow! I figure it is about time that I get to update my blog! Sorry all " )

First off Jace is doing wonderful he just keeps on growing, getting smarter, cuter and even a little more attitude each day ;)
He still loves trains, though really like anything with an engine. Cars, Botorcycle ( as he calls the motorcycles), trains etc. He get's so excited each time the train goes by our house, he wants to be lifted up so he can see it pass by between the houses. He keeps me busy and I LOVE it ")


Here is Jace and his cousin Ryan on one of the the Ogden Station train's. We happened to run into Michelle and fam at the station, crazy hu?! Notice the NO CLIMBING sign behind our children... ya we ignored that.

Jace and Lily kick'n it at Jana's! This hammock is soo comfy " ) How cute is Lily ( yay Jan I spelled it right!!!) for all who didn't know, I have been spelling little miss Lily's nick name wrong since...well since she was born. This past weekend Jana Finally told me that her nick name is spelled with a Y not an I. My bad "/ Love you J, thanks for telling me " )

Jace would do this face when we asked him to smile, I love it!

Jace has this monkey that was given to him because the guy said "it is too cute to throw away" It really is too. It has a cute winter sweater on and... that hat. Jace one day came into the room and this is what he had on, so glad the camera was in reaching distance.

New way to ride!! He got bored in the main part and didn't really want or have the energy to walk so I put him up there, he thought it was the best. Though extra caution is needed it was kinda fun " )

We have a drummer! He loved Uncle Scott's drum set. Now he takes our Rock Band (love it) drum sticks and drums on anything. Before that we could get him to just use the utinsels and pans and stuff, but he would rather "cook" with them than play on them " )

Feedin' the ducks! Which on this occation we ran into Jana and Lily, they came too and Lily enjoyed eating the bread instead of throwing it ha ha!

Our little up-to -date boy! Jeff wanted to try this and see if our long trips could be more pleasant. it does work for a little while, though by then he get's sick of holding it. Hold it for him and he is good to go ")

Just like daddy. He is always doing things like daddy, this day it was wearing his shoes grabbing his "briefcase" aka Jeff's scriptures and giving you a kiss before he goes to work. hee hee I love this kid " )

Well that is not even all! I will give you a break though and post the rest later " )

My friend Tara just posted this on her blog and it is kinda funny because I am a Pisces and it is pretty darn close to being accurate on some of the things! Namely the post before this in relating

to friends. ha ha

Okay okay I admit that quite a bit of it is off " ) It just struck me as funny about the "choosy friends" and "tends to get hurt easily" what with our recent expeirence. Kinda funny.

There is such a thing as being too nice "/

This was taken at my brother's graduation on tuesday, cute huh?! Jeff actually brought the ipod for himself, though it came in REALLY handy when Jace was getting fussy, we have movies on it ") nice thinking babe!
The graduation was nice, long yes, though still nice. I am so proud of my little brother! Yay Ben!
Now why the title? Well it all starts when we were going home from the graduation. We were motoring along when Jace says "drink" . Both Jeff and I say "crap" because he had downed the sippy at the graduation and we hadn't refilled it. He drinks about a gallon a day I swear. We were just passing the flying J in Logan and Jeff slams on the breaks and crosses the lanes to turn. When we pulled up there is a guy sitting at the front with a sign that says "stranded, need a ride to Ogden" We don't normally help those people out, who knows if you get a crazy person?! Well this time Jeff and I talked briefly and decided to help him. So we give him a ride. He is making pleasant coversation, we found out that he was stranded because he had just gotten out of jail (right, I know) and that he was in for drugs (nice) still pleasant enough. Jeff dropped Jace and I off at home and he took our new "friend" to the frontrunner station. Finding that it wasn't running anymore that night (it was 11:30 by now) we offer to put him in a hotel for the night (we didn't want him sleeping on a bench, too nice like I say) Jeff found a decent place for a decent price, the guy thanks him and Jeff leaves. OH but as they were checking in a worker comes to the desk to talk to the girl and tells her there are some guys outside smoking pot and what he should do. Our "friend" chuckles and says "what did he say?" But otherwise ignore's it. Jeff leaves and the next day at around 10:30 maybe earlier Jeff calls to make sure he checked out okay. They tell him he hasn't checked out yet but that check out isn't till 12. Jeff calls back at 11:30ish and tell them that he want's them to kick him out if he isn't out already, he dosen't want us charged for another day! They go up to the room to see and he isn't there!! Some girl is there, whom we do not have a clue where she came from. The room is trashed and has been smoked in "/ Grrrr. So they charge us... ready for this?... over $200 for damages! Ya I was not excited about this development. So lesson learned, maybe a ride and bus fare, that is it! Jeff and I both felt okay about helping him out, so we figure that it happened for a reason and that we get to be more careful. We both now just really hope that he learns something also and that someday he can be happy for real, instead of by whatever others means.
Jeff has been such a rock through all of this. He has been so kind and graceful about it all. I wasn't mad really at anyone, even our "friend", more just really disappointed and sad that it happened that way and a little bit taken advatage of. As you can imagine.
We are through it now though and will be fine " ) Learned a really good lesson and will use more judgement next time.
