My younger sister is leaving for college soon and I want to make her a goodbye mix.

"bye-bye" was my first word. oh, the irony.

recommendations of songs for a mix/dedication of goodbyes which have been plentiful, and important, and never spoken. a lifetime of nouns [mostly people] that were there one day and not the next.

i'm not really sure what i am after, honestly. maybe just a mix of songs i could listen to myself and think 'wow this is nice, but if I was ballsy this would be the perfect thing to send to all of the people that aren't in my life anymore as closure'

My therapist told me that I should write my ex a letter. I didn't have to send it, she said, but I needed to write it. I tried doing that, but I got nowhere. I would write the same angry sentences over and over again in my journal. Finally, I decided to make a CD and give it to her. It was supposed to be my way to let her go.
