◆How does a narrative essay centered on fashion come together? In “Afterword –Hilda's Voice–,” I explain the creative techniques used in each piece. At the end, I also introduce the next piece◆
It’s Hilda.
This time, I’ve brought you ▷ Ep.7 That Voice ◁, themed around leopard print, which I love. What kind of image does this pattern bring to mind for you?
Now then, this piece also marks a turning point in the ▷ From My Closet To You series ◁. Why? Because with this piece, “Season 1” comes to an end!! When I first started the series, I had seven pieces prepared in total, including this one. So yes, I’ve finally been able to put them all out…I’m really glad! Of course, it’s only the end of Season 1, but it’s still bringing a lot of things to mind...
With that in mind, I’d like to write about the piece itself as I usually do.
There were 2 things I considered especially important in terms of placement in this piece.
1. Placement of Elements and Information
For this piece, I cared a lot about where to place the necessary elements and information. Actually, everything at the core of the structure is already there in the opening chapter. By doing that, the piece opens with different kinds of elements mixing together, giving the reader a slight sense that something is off and making them wonder what’s going on. From there, I structured the piece so that what those things actually are would gradually be revealed. Some of you may have noticed by now, but I did borrow a few techniques from mystery writing. So, has the “mystery” of this piece been unraveled? …I just thought I’d ask. :)
2. Placement at the End of Season 1
What to place at the very end of “Season 1”―that kind of placement took a lot of thought too, haha. As I wrote in ▷ Ep.6 Afterword –Hilda’s Voice– ◁, the piece I most wanted to write when I first started the series was ▷ Ep.6 The Ghost ◁. At first, that was the one I planned to make the final piece. But as the season moved toward its end, it started to feel like placing ▷ Ep.7 That Voice ◁ last would make the series’ message come through more deeply. So in the end, this became the final piece for Season 1. I hope that comes through in this piece!
Normally, this is where I’d introduce the next piece, but not this time haha. As I’ve already mentioned, with this piece, “Season 1” comes to an end.
And with that… I’m heading into the off-season!!

In the meantime, I’ll look back on Season 1 while also bringing you a variety of articles in a different style from the series pieces. More details will be shared soon. I hope you’ll enjoy the world of “fashion” and “words” in a slightly different way!
