◆How does a narrative essay centered on fashion come together? In “Afterword –Hilda's Voice–,” I explain the creative techniques used in each piece. At the end, I also introduce the next piece◆

This world is filled with so many colors. Which ones to choose? From my memories before growing up come 4 episodes of colors.

It’s Hilda.

How was Ep.5 The Colors Of a Girl ? I’d be glad if it brought to mind your favorite colors or colors that left lasting memories.

As mentioned in Ep.4 Afterword –Hilda's Voice–, I created this piece with the theme of seasonal color analysis.

There were 2 main things I tried.

1. “Staircase” Structure (a step-by-step progression)

At the core of this piece is a “staircase” structure—a step-by-step progression of colors and memories based on a timeline. With each step, I crafted it so you could sense and trace the inner changes and growth. At the final step, the top of this staircase continues into each of your staircases―for everyone who has read this piece. I’d love it if this gave you a moment to pause, look back on your past, or think of tomorrow.

2. A Story of Stillness

In the previous pieces, I consciously crafted them with elements of “motion” in mind. This time, I expressed the opposite—“stillness.” What I prioritized most was “tone-setting.” How to express the emotions of that time, how to convey them—these were the 2 decisions I made first, and then started writing. I hope the lingering sense of stillness, unlike motion, reaches you.

I’ve been weaving in the theme of “personal style analysis” over three pieces. For now, a break—then onward to another theme. So, the upcoming theme will be “trends.”

To close, I’ll give a brief introduction to it.

…Next…
The next piece is titled “The Ghost.” Fashion and people’s values keep changing. So what are trends, really? And when change arrives―what is it that remains? A story guided by two perspectives. I offer this to you.
