Randomness, again

Why do we have Christmas carols but not Easter carols? Isn't Easter a much significant thing than Christmas? Although I love the merry atmosphere of Christmas, but I thought Easter should be a greater celebration. When Jesus was born on Christmas, He still had to die on Good Friday but when He is resurrected again, He triumph over death, sin, bondage etc. Hence, I concluded that we should have more Easter carols and bells jingling! OK, this is just a reallyyyy random thought since I'm so bored of studying for my last exam paper in UKM, last paper as a student. Time flies. Since you just wasted 3 mins of your life reading this, I might as well give you something more beneficial. That is, know that You are loved.

Reservation

We make reservations especially when the restaurant you are going to is busy. Like what Ps Ted described, it feels good when you get to walk right through the crowd and snailing lines and sit on a table and enjoy your meal while others look on with envy eyes and growling stomachs. So, what and who do you reserve your table in your life? It is important what you reserve your time and energy in your life. Because what you fill your cup most is what will overflow out of your life and heart. If you have reservation for holiness, you have no room for sin. If you have reservation for truthfulness, you have no room for lies. If you have reservation for love, you have no room for hatred and unforgiveness. Do you reserve your time and table for Jesus so that He can walk right through your daily routines and sit and savour a meal with you? Or do you let Him put Him at the waiting line, knocking and waiting for you to open the door of your heart and invite Him in? What are your reservations today...

Library days~

This is the small cozy spot I found for us to study and eat silently. Do you know why 3 of us can come together? One simple reason - we are all lonely single room peeps who are desperate to find company to study together or else we will be either sleeping in the room or surfing the internet. That's Eddie and Joyce over there "studying"? Yours truly who occupies half of the table =p It was about dinner time that we left library but we missed the bus! It was a bad news for Joyce but not for me, cause we get to walk back to hostel! I LOVE walking in campus in the evening especially when it is after rain. The fresh air and crystal clear sky! It is a time for me to reflect and be charmed by God's creation. I will definitely miss this if I were to work in the hustle-bustle city breathing carbon monoxide everyday in the future. How sad. Eddie our photographer LOOK AT THE VIEW! don't you think it's jsut so amazing? <3 It was also during this photo, a HUGE, GIGANTI...

WIFI AT LAST~!

GOSH, I've been deprived of internet for two whole days! It's so crazily inconvenient. Thanks to my hostel's modem. It's so good be back again! Anyway, it's exam week now. So, basically what I do is to study, eat, sleep. -.- But I treasure every moment of it because it's my LAST time sitting exam as a student! =/ I am definitely gonna miss this camping in library days! All the best peeps!

God or no God?

Why the big noise, nations? Why the mean plots, peoples? 2 Earth-leaders push for position, Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks, The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers: 3 "Let's get free of God! Cast loose from Messiah!" 4 Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing . At first he's amused at their presumption; Psalms 2:1-4 (The Message) I just love how this translation puts it. God-deniers = Atheists (people who do not believe in God) Messiah-defiers = People who do not believe that Jesus is God. There are so many people in this world today who are God-deniers and Messiah-defiers. You see the rise of New Age belief, or people who think that Jesus is a prophet or a god or a fairy tale, or even people who think of themselves as god or money as god. You know what is God's response when he hears us saying that? He breaks out laughing! And you know why? Because He is amused. It is something impossible to not to believe. Since the beginning of time, God has r...

Long chat

Just a quickie before i sleep. I sleep real early these days. not sure why. but it definitely doesn't look good since exam is coming. anyway, i am so blessed today! Joyce's supervisor - Dr Abas called me to his office today. and guess what. He had one box of tim tam chocolate for Joyce and he actually left another one especially for ME! wow.! He's so sweet and thoughtful! I mean like, who am I to deserve this? Me not even his supervised student.! So grateful. Then we had a long chat for about 2 hours which revolves on life in general - his, ours and malaysia's - past or future. It was a good chat. I salute him even more right now knowing what he has been through to get to where he is today. His principles, his values and his view of life. One thing he said - Work like you still have a thousand years to live but pray like you have one more day to live! Totally agree! Btw, Kak Za (one of the pHD student in UKM) gave me a sweet bookmark today as farewell or token of friend...

10 things to learn from Japan

This is something that I spotted from Prof. Ahmad Ismail's note which I find it worth sharing. Somehow reminds me of Dasar Pandang ke Timur initiated by Tun Mahathir. hehe.. 1. THE CALM - Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated. 2. THE DIGNITY - Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture. 3. THE ABILITY - The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn't fall. 4. THE GRACE - People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something. 5. THE ORDER - No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding. 6. THE SACRIFICE - Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid? 7. THE TENDERNES S - Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak. 8. THE TRAINING - The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just...

Introducing..

my awesome thesis supervisor.. Prof Dato Dr. Mushrifah Idris! A year ago, I remember knocking door to door talking to different lecturers on thesis title. Honestly, I have never thought of choosing her initially. I am not too sure why. Maybe rumours said that she's super busy that she will not have time for her students? But after much prayer, God led me to her through a senior! It was something pretty divine and definitely last minute. However, once God led me to her, I knew almost immediately she is the one (sounds like I'm looking for a life partner huh?) ! but I do not want a miserable 1 year with a "mediocre" supervisor. It's a precious one year of learning! All glory to God, when God handpicked something for you, it never goes wrong. He knows who I can work with and who I can relate! Well, of course, He is God right? haha.. Prof has been such an inspiration for me. One word of summary about her : superwoman - a mother, wife, lecturer, head of project s . M...

Youth Leader's Retreat 2011

Yeap, came back from the not-so-cold Genting for Youth Ministry Leader's Retreat and it was a blast.! Hanging out with these people is always very fun and interesting. I am never bored with their jokes, stories etc. Because they are just super awesome people who are impossible to not to love! We've got Stef with her never ending Mimi story. Han-ni who's afraid of being blindfolded. Emily who leads Han-ni astray. Tommy with his lame jokes. Andrew and his full mood. Connie who never fails to crave for more food (or maybe it's the baby inside her)! Harp with her creative "customer! customer" game. yada yada.. oh and I'm glad to know Grace my roomie even more! Since she's always so quiet and gentle but I discovered a strong side of her! The best part about this team is that we could joke at each other without constraint (I mean, of course not too over la). Besides the fun and hype, there're just so much to learn from them! Super smart people. haha.. L...
