Dependency

When you start depending on yourself, you don't have to take long to realize you are donig a stupid thing. When you start depending on God, you will have to endure the refining moments but you know it's a Solid Rock you're leaning on. Out of the Rock, out flows living water that never dry. Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

Just whens

Just when I thought I couldn't, He appeared and affirmed me. Just when I cry secretly, He came and wiped my tears. Just when I feel lonely, He let me rest in His arms through the night. Just when I feel guilty, He stretched out His hands and reminded me the cause of His scar. Just when I feel afraid, He reminded me of His faithfulness. Romantic kan, kan? Melting in God's love...

Contradiction

I am a girl with many contradictions. Is it normal or not? In debates, I know that contradiction is never good but it is normal. How about in real life? How can I be more consistent then? Hilft mir bitte! Ich weisse nicht, was ich machen soll.

Yellow Ribbon

I do not want to be like King Saul. I want to be like King David and Prime Minister Daniel. But it's hard. Anyway, today as I was driving to German class in the morning and listening to Lite FM (I didn't know Lite FM has good music without much commercials on Sat morning!) and reflecting on my week, this song played on the radio - Tie the yellow ribbon on the old oak tree, if you still want me... When I was young, I remember every Friday night I would tag my parents for koinos at Andrew's house. While the adults have Bible study downstairs, we children would have a gala time upstairs playing LIFE board games, UNO, watching tv shows, playing treasure hunt and what not. Sometimes koinos would drag on till 12am (ok, most of the time) because parents would end up singing karaoke after supper downstairs. This song is one of the top 5 song. I remember Uncle Yong telling me the history of this song on how a prisoner was released and allowed to return to his hometown but out of gui...

I MISS YOU!

There are many people I miss now. I miss my 38 moments with joyce drinking soya bean and eat potato chips and roda-roda for dinner. I miss maggie and isabel who never fails to entertain me with all the love-y stories and inspiring moments and the most hilarious joke of ekors and kaciangs. I miss the debaters who are the best people to hang out and play murderer game with! You can never stop laughing when you hang out with them. I miss Esther who always pass me sweet cards and letters at the most unexpected time when I need love most. I miss my course mates though we got closer at a slower pace but still, we had many great field trips together and our best telok gong dinner. Although the food wasn't all that good but the fellowship made me feel warm. I miss my lecturers esp those who never fail nag me and share part of their life with me. I miss my own little comfortable room/second home in KKM hostel where I can cocoon myself and enjoy the serenity of the night reading books and li...

Transition

I've been wanting to update for long but did not have the time or maybe I was lazy too. hehe.. Beatrice hereby proudly announce that, I unofficially finish my life in UKM! Woot~ and doing my internship now. I do miss my student life, a lot! As I reflect back on this chapter of life, God was indeed good and faithful! No matter how terrible I might feel or how lousy situations are, He was there! And honestly, I cannot really recall the bad things that happened in uni life anymore because the good blessings were just abundant that it overshadowed the rest of the stinky stuff. Why bother to remember anyway? Cos God can turn all bad things to good for those who love Him! Amen? As I am entering into this next season, I am defintiely not getting used to it. Well, I guess I just need time to adapt with this transition. Every morning, severe traffic jams welcome me with wide open arms. Thank you so very much. Headache of finding a cheap and good car park is yet another problem but it is so...
