My first lesson in History Class

I will always remember my first Sejarah lesson in Form 1 because that was so very meaningful. It said, every story has two sides. A British historian would look at colonization differently as a Malaysian historian. So whatever happened in BERSIH, the truth lies in the perception and belief of those present. The police force and the BERSIH-ers could tell two different stories and interpretation with the same picture. Exercise wisdom and discretion when listening to a story then.. =)

Rallies

Disclaimer: I am not against rally and freedom of speech and expression. But, I am against those people who are going without finding out the truth and the cause they are fighting for. OK, maybe they only know a tiny weeny bit from conversations with friends, some facebook shares etc. and they jump to the conclusion and get all emotional about things. That is the problem with rally, I personally think. People are more emotional and are absorbed with the hype and excitement more than really knowing what is going on. So, before going to any rallies, please check the facts first, so that you know better what you are standing and fighting against. Are things really what the oppositions say? or the government? Reason out first then only go and fight for it! There will be a National Education Dialogue scheduled this Sunday onwards at Putrajaya to give your two cents for the betterment of the whole education system, something so crucial and meaningful. So, if you have gone for Bersih...

Updates on Mercy

Following up from the last post on Mercy, God is miraculous. If you were to see her last Friday, you'd taught she'd die anytime soon. Even the vet said to prepare ourselves since Mercy is already old - 13 years of being together with her. 91 years old if human. Old grandma =p So what happened was she was panting, saliva/liquid flowing non-stop, no appetite to eat and her eyes. Mercy always has amazing eyes which sparkles and communicates but not last friday. It was gloomy, sick and sad. My heart really sank seeing her suffering as she breathes. Even dad teared when praying for her!  I remember Ruth told me once, what matters to you is precious to God. I held on to this and believed God to do something miraculous - to heal Mercy.  On Sat - she could eat 2 spoons of dog food (I needed to feed her like a baby!) On Sun - she could eat, drink and wags tail Today - eat, drink, wag tail, walk around, run into my house, BARKS! When she barked (I was not at home...

Mercy

I have the best dog on earth. Pretty, and she really knows how to ambil hati!!! Her eyes sends messages and electrocutes you! Amazing amazing dog. Fierce when needed, friendly when she loves you. But now she is very sick. =((((((( Heart attack and lung has water Please pray for her! 14 years of being together since I was 10 or 11! Primary, secondary, uni and now working. I am not good at deaths and separation. This special bond is hard to explain. It will never be broken. Stay strong Mercy. We all love you. You are part of our family =) I am praying for you!

Funny stories

Last Sunday was my church's Easter production - A glimpse of eternity at PGRM. My mum and sister were acting! So the story went like this. Story 1 I came to PGRM with Qian Yi looking for mother in the changing room since she wanted to take photos. So ya I did. On my way there, I saw few girls loitering with their full make up on. Obviously I didn't recognise them, only one girl I recognised. Me: Hi Emily! Is that you!? Girl 1: Emm.. No, it's not me sorry. Me: Oops! Sorry! Wrong person! *Left totally embarrassed* Then, I reached the fitting room. Aunt Lucy was there. Me: Hi, I just want to look for my mother. Aunt Lucy: No, you can't enter. Me: Aww,. why? But mummy wants to take photo. Just ask her to come out then Girl 2: No, you can't enter and your mother can't come out. (very rudely) Me: Why? But she is my mother and she asked me to come here to take her photos. (annoyed at the rude petite girl) Girl 2: No, you cannot enter at this hour. Me: Oh ok then. Too b...

A sincere compliment

Maggie was really sweet to gave me a very sincere compliment that I could not stop thinking about it! I don't think it is self-indulgence though =p. Maybe it is time when I really need people to reaffirm me and she did so at the right time! It also struck me how far one sincere compliment can really make a person's day or does something powerful to a person. The power of tongue - it either destroys or builds. This friendship between Isa, Mag and I is something so special. It is those times when we are down, lack of encouragement, and worst of all, stuck at a jalan buntu or a pit, these girls say the nicest things, AND sincerely from their heart. I think that makes the biggest difference! Thanks Mag, for making my night! We will live passionately ya! So guys, dont be stingy with SINCERE compliments. =) I shalll save my mouth from complaining to complementing! xx
