Anniversary Trip

This year we celebrated 22 years of marriage.  Time has flown by. We have had some amazing times and some tough times but I wouldn't want to share it with anyone but Steve. We thought we'd take advantage of having Emmy home and took off for an overnight trip to Bryson City NC.
It was a quaint little town with beautiful scenery and beautiful waterfalls.
We found the road to nowhere.
Don't show Meg that high school is the road to nowhere!!
The tunnel that leads to nowhere
We loved the fun trees
It was over to quickly! We had a great time and laughed and enjoyed some kid free time.
This was a great discovery!!  Yummy BBQ!!!

Le Passport

Emmy's Passport came and she was thrilled!  The first in the family to have one!

Exploring Chattanooga

With Meghan gone to girls camp and Alyssa with grandma we thought that it would  be fun to spend Memorial Day exploring Chattanooga.
We decided to ride the incline railroad.  The steepest railway in the world.
It was very steep and Eli loved every minute of it!
It was fun to have our oldest and our youngest together for the day.  It was hot but fun.

Girls Camp/Lyssa to Ashton

As soon as school got out the activities began!
Meghan headed to girls camp.  She went a couple days earlier for High Adventure.
They went caving and had a bawl!
Following caving they went white water rafting.  According to Meghan it was the best girls camp ever.
Alyssa and grandma left to head to Ashton so they could be there for the Memorial Day Weekend.
Miss Lyssa was in heaven...
Aunts and Cousins....perfect start of summer
They made a memorial to Paul on a rock on grandma's property

Sisters Temple Day

I took all 3 girls to the temple one Saturday morning.  It was a special time for them all to be together.

Schools Out

Everyone was thrilled to be done with school!  Let summer begin!!!
Mrs. Layde and Eli were jumping for joy that it was the last day!!
We love Mrs. Buckley. She was a great 2nd grade teacher.
Nice honor that his classmates voted him a True Friend.
Love having a grandma here to celebrate the end of school.

Eno Party

Meghan had some friends over and they all strung up their Eno's in our trees.  We couldn't tell if it was a party of a homeless shelter for teens!!
Sunday afternoon hang out

Steve's Birthday

We decided to celebrate Steve's birthday on the 19th since Emmy was going to the temple on his birthday.
We had yummy food and lots of fun celebrating our favorite guy.
Happy Birthday Steve.  We Love YOU!

School Odds and Ends

I got to sub the day that kids at Lewis went on a field trip to McClure. Guess who I ran into at McClure.  My favorite 6th grader.
Eli was pretty proud of the Mother's Day Cake he made.
Playing with the chicks that hatched at school.

Wax Museum

In 2nd grade the kids were learning about famous people and the impact they had on other's lives.  Instead of just choosing to do a typical report the teachers decided to do a wax museum.
Each child chose a famous person.  They researched about their lives and what made them famous and their important contributions.
They took the information they had researched and put it on a board.
They then memorized a short script that they could recite as people pushed their button.
Eli made a great FDR!  Thanks to the school nurse who let us borrow the school wheel chair to complete the costume!

Father's and Sons

Eli lives for Boys Camp every year.   A chance to go camping with his dad and to be surrounded by boys!!
He is totally in his element!
