James' First Band Concert

I am so impressed by the Fairport Band program. They meet two mornings a week and get once a week pull-out semi-private lessons at school. James' director is a trombone player and a great personality fit for James. James loves playing trombone! I was impressed at how good the band sounded after only 6 months of playing together (or less). One song featured the trombones, so the band director had them come to the front since you never get to see trombones. Then he took a break later to give parents a few minutes to come up on stage and take their child's picture since it was their first concert. So here it is, some of the only pictures where we'll ever be able to see our trombone player during a concert!

Pepper and the Girls Play in the Snow

Afternoons like this are what I imagined when we got a dog. Pepper followed Claire all around as they played in the snow.

Claire says these are leprechaun footprints that prove leprechauns are real, even though she still can't be convinced there's any good reason they don't come cause mischief at our house.
