Welll, day one of the BLOG, whatever the heck that is....
Joshua Hugh is growing again we think. He does not like to sleep, other than in 20 minute bursts, and is wearing his lovely mother into a slus-puppy pulp. It is hard to get too mad at him though when he flashes a big ole grin at you. You just want to snuggle up to him then!
Sarah remains the apple of her daddy's eye. She is always at the door to greet me and is about bent over with giddiness when I come home, shouting, "I found my daddy, I found my daddy". Until that moment each day, I don;t realize how lost I really am throughout the day. When Sheila has had a stressful day, it can be stressful to come home, but it always makes me happy to get the reaction I do from the children!
Residency continues unabated. Each month is like starting a new job with all that entails. THis month is mammography. I am learning how to read the films, how they are taken, quality control, how to biopsy breast lesions with a variety of techniques, including stereotactic device, mamographic technique and ultrasound guded. It is sometimes an exercise in futility to watch me try to biopsy under ultrasound, but I am learning and have not
seriously injured anyone yet. We are halfway through residency, which delights ans terrifies me, as I feel like I know nothing yet. Physics boards are this fall, as is a trip to Washigton DC for 6 weeks for a radiology/pathology correlation course. Hopefully Sheila and the kids will be able to come visit during the stay.
Weather has been nice lately, for Michigan. Highs in the 30's and no snow on the ground to speak of. Weird in a way but we ain't complaining.
That is all!
