New Year's Eve

We had a fun little dance party on New Year's Eve. Sarah really wanted to stay up until midnight and maybe she did after I went to bed! We are looking forward to a fun 2016!

Ice skating

Joshua really wanted to go ice skating, so a between Christmas and New Year's, we went up to the ice rink. It was decorated so nicely for Christmas and we had fun skating in circles!

Christmas 2016

Christmas was nice.  We enjoyed our time at home as our little family, then headed up to my parents to have brunch with Wayne and Brenda and their families.  The food was all great and it was a lot of fun being there while everyone opened presents.  August was especially cute this year and Alex was fun to watch too.  Our kids were spoiled rotten and had fun being with the whole family.
After brunch, we came home and I started cooking Christmas dinner.  I really wanted to just have something simple so I could relax and enjoy the day, but I felt a lot of pressure to make a big meal.  So, I did.  It was a nice day and even nicer the next day when I got to relax a little bit!

Christmas Eve 2015

We had a nice Christmas Eve. Amanda was visiting Vickie and Vickie wanted us all to go to Millie's for dinner. After dinner, we went back to her house and opened gifts and visited. It was a nice evening!

Christmas Piano recital

The kids had a very small piano recital at one of the retirement homes here in town. My parents were able to come, but Donald's mom forgot about it and Donald had to drive his sister down to Hemet so she could have a visit with one of her children. It was short and sweet, but I know the seniors living there appreciated it.

Nutcracker

We took the kids to see the Nutcracker! It was fun getting dressed up and the show was good, but the kids were so tired, I didn't know if they would make it through the second half of the show!

Donald's work party

Once again, we did something fun for Donald's work party. We went to see the Cirque du Soliel show Kurios. It was AMAZING! We loved it so much we might take the kids back to see it.
After the show we went to a nice restaurant in downtown LA. We were sitting at the "kid's table" with the other young partners and I have to say that took so much pressure off me! Also, I realized how much I don't hear when we are in situations like that.

Kindergarten gingerbread houses

I got to go into Lizzie's class the last day before Christmas break and build a gingerbread house with her. It is fun to do projects like this with her. She is never too concerned with the outcome, more about the process. I could learn from her!
Here she is with two of her best friends in class. Pepper and Evelyn.
