Family party

We had a little bit of family over to sing and have cake for Sarah. Grandma Peaches gave her her old apron and a picture of her when she was a teenager. It was a special and thoughtful gift and Sarah was really touched!

Sarah's Disney Birthday trip

Since we have the passes again, we all went to Disneyland on Sarah's birthday. It was fairly crowded, but we got on a lot of rides and got to see Santa!

Trolls

We took Sarah and her friend, Kat, to see the movie Trolls. It was very light, fun movie, perfect for celebrating a birthday!

Museum

Here is one more from the museum. CeCe, Sarah, Lizzie, Joshua and Brenna.

Natural History Museum Daisy Field Trip

Elizabeth's Daisy Troop went on a field trip to the Natural History Museum in LA. We had never been there and it was a nice place to visit! There was a spider and bug exhibit they wanted the kids to see and since it was Veteran's Day and no school, the big kids came too. A few of Joshua's friends were there since they have sisters in Lizzie's troop and Sarah ran into one of her friends from band, so she had fun too. Plus, she found out how little CeCe, one of Lizzie's friends is, and she carried her around a bunch!

Sarah turns 13

Sarah had a really rough October, losing some friends and quite a bit of self esteem in the process. She is doing better now, but I know she is still sad. Long before any of that happened, we planned on giving her a phone for her birthday! She was absolutely thrilled! She couldn't believe we actually got her one and even though we planned on giving it to her anyway, I think it helped her feel a bit better after such a rough patch!

Family pictures continued

Family pictures

Greg came down one weekend and took our family pictures. He was so patient with everyone, especially Sarah who was having a very rough day. I'm just posting my favorites, but there are a lot of other good ones too! Thanks, Greg, for making us look better than we actually are!

Parents day at Disneyland

Donald and I took a day and went to Disneyland with out the kids. It was fun except all of the texts from Sarah saying she didn't feel well and the call from the school saying Joshua jammed his finger. My mom took care of Joshua and we made Sarah stay at school and still managed to have a nice day.

Halloween show

Elizabeth put together a whole Halloween concert for us. Joshua and Sarah helped with sound and special effects. She was very serious about the whole thing and was disappointed the show couldn't be longer. Now she is planning cooking, ballet and singing classes for us!

Halloween

I helped Elizabeth make an Elsa pumpkin.
Sarah designed and cut her own Pluto.

Joshua made Spiderman's symbol.

Sarah was a vampire, Joshua was Captain America and Elizabeth was Mal from the movie the Descendants, for Halloween. Joshua and Lizzie enjoyed the Halloween parade at school and grandma Doris came to watch. That night we trick or treated around the neighborhood and stopped by to see August and Alex, who were at their other grandma's house. It was a fun night.

Church Halloween party

We went to show Colleen next door the kids in their costumes and she was dressed up for a party! We then went to the church party, which was pretty small this year. Joshua and Donald were gone for scouts and so it was just us girls.
