merry christmas, everyone!

so it's been a bit weird studying during the holidays...can't seem to wrap my brain around the fact that christmas eve is tomorrow and the new year is a week away. haven't been too aware of what's going on in the world around me, but i've learned a few things about myself as i've been preparing for the exam:

- i don't like studying alone. it might be because i need someone to watch my stuff when i go to the bathroom after drinking so much tea (the cheapest thing on the menu, plus you get free hot water refills - hey, those $3-4 drinks really add up)...but seriously, i really enjoy the company, and some of the funnest conversations i've had are procrastinating conversations. thankfully, God has graciously provided good study buddies (yes, eunice and vanessa, i totally appreciate you guys!)

- i think i have adult add...don't think i need to elaborate on that other than to say that i really need your prayers to pass this exam. seriously...

still, i've managed to enjoy some of the holidays. mosaic's westside small group party, seeing annie and other friends that are in town. also had cambodian food on sunday! the cambodian international students in my program had a holiday/farewell bbq for sovatha with crab, shrimp, satay and green papaya salad...it was sooo nice!

well, i've taken enough of a break...

merry christmas, everyone! have a blessed holiday season!

the bachelor, anyone?

my classmates and i noticed an interesting flyer outside our classroom at school today...a casting call for the bachelor. apparently, they're looking for attractive girls 20-25 years old. yes, 20-25 years old...i was joking with my friend about how we should go for it, when i realized that we don't even make the age cut!! what the...? darn! hehe...

so anyways, one of you young'uns should go for it! if you need the information, let me know...

drama queen in the making

they give vaccinations at the clinic that i work at on fridays, so every once in a while, there are children crying in the examination room next to the office i'm in. it's always sad to hear them, but they usually cry for a few minutes and get over it pretty quickly. today, though, was the worst i've ever heard...the little girl that was happily playing with her brother in the waiting area...for a good 5-7 minutes, she was screaming at the top of her lungs, "nooooo moooommyyy, let me gooooo," and "i don't want to be heeeeere." i felt bad for a while, but i had to laugh when she screamed, "you're trying to kill meeee." kids are so entertaining, even when they're terrified...hehe, i'm going to be such a bad mother.

we are the champions!

we had our championship game for the westside league this past tuesday...and won! we've been up and down all season, and we started the game off really cold (the gym was fuh-reezing, we hadn't played together for almost a month, plus it was right after thanksgiving weekend...), so there were a few moments where i was a bit worried, but...we warmed up and pulled it off! yaaay, another t-shirt! (not really, i have way too many t-shirts than i know what to do with...)

nowadays, whenever i play volleyball, i remember how i used to view twentysomething-year-olds when i played open gym with my bro in high school. i used to think they were so old, and i kinda thought it was loser-ish to be playing open gym with a bunch of high-schoolers...hehe.
