Rolling Over

I forgot to mention on the last blog entry that Riley has rolled over about five times. I am not sure that she is doing it on purpose...she lays on her tummy with her head up and she kind of leans over to one side, then her head falls over, then her body follows her head. She pushes off with one hand a little bit too. We sure think it is cute!

Riley sleeps in her "Big Bed"

Ever since Friday night Riley has been sleeping all night in her big bed!!! What a good girl! I say that now and watch...tonight she will wake up :) We got to see lots of family last weekend. Great Grandma E (Pelzel) turned 80 on Saturday and we had a big birthday party for her at the church hall in Miles. Cousin Nicole was able to put Riley to sleep! We also went to Nana and Papa's house on Sunday. Papa took a little nap with Riley. She got in lots of play time too. I also have to say that I am glad that I don't have to worry about tax season right now. It is so nice to be able to enjoy friends and family on the weekend and not feel stressed about not being at work. My new job is going very well, and I feel very fortuate to be in that position right now.

Princess

Riley wore her "Princess" outfit to daycare today. She even got to go outside since it was so nice. We are glad that the weather is starting to be nicer so that we can enjoy the outdoors without bundling up!

Random stuff

Cousin Davis is "bouncing" Riley. It wasn't very long ago that he was the one in the bouncer!! My, Davis has grown so fast!

David was spotted drinking Lone Star with a local armadillo. I think the armadillo had a little too much to drink :)

Cousin Davis is watching Riley at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He will be teaching Riley fun tricks in no time!!

Riley's first shots

Riley went to the doctor today for her 2 month appointment and booster shots. She did pretty good. She only cried for a minute. I can tell the Tylenol is working because she is fast asleep when she is usually playing. Riley weighed 11 pounds and 10 ounces and was 23 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for weight and length for her age. Riley gets to stay home with mom all day today, but tomorrow it is back to daycare. This picture of her was also taken at Sears yesterday. She looks like such a big girl holding her head up for the photographer!

2 Months Old!!

Riley is officially 2 months old today! We took our first family picture at Sears. Riley didn't smile much, but at least she didn't cry. Riley started daycare last week. She really seems to like it. I went to check on her at lunch every day, and she was just fine. I think she really likes to look at all the people and play with all the different toys. I am afraid that she will think it is boring at home now! But we will give her lots of kisses to make up for it. Riley goes to the doctor tomorrow for her 2 month appointment. I will report her stats tomorrow. Poor girl is going to have to get her booster shots tomorrow too. :-( I start working at Hendrick on Tuesday! It will be very interesting to see how everything goes. At least Riley has been sleeping through the night pretty good.

Holding her head up

Riley is showing off her ability to hold her head up!! She doesn't hold it up for very long, but she does enjoy her tummy time! I have also discovered that Riley likes to watch TV! She will be sitting in her bouncer watching TV like she knew what was going on. This morning she was smiling at Dierks Bently and Keith Urban while I had the TV on CMT music videos....I think she thinks they are cute :-)
