Rain, Rain, Rain

Riley went to the doctor for her 6 month check up this week. She is 18 1/2 pounds and 27 inches long. She is getting so big. Dr. Wiley said her ears were all cleared up too. She is a healthy baby! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, healthy little girl. Riley is getting two teeth on the bottom! It won't be long until you can see them in her pictures! Riley is getting on all fours really well now. She rocks back and forth, but hasn't really learned to move her hands. She has also started this really cute laughing snort, and she wrinkles her nose up when she does it. It is too cute! We bought a Jumperoo for Riley and she just loves playing in it. She jumps all around and has the best time in it. She likes to laugh and scream whem she's in it. Josh turned 29 on Thursday! For his birthday, we went to Johnny Carinos for supper and sat on the patio. Riley loved it. She loves being outside, and it was a bonus that she could watch cars and people walk by. She is such a people watcher. :) It has rained so much lately. We went to Winters on Monday to see all the rain. Some areas around Winters got over 8 inches of rain!! The creek by Josh's parents house was up a lot. Some of their cattle floated away down the creek. It is so crazy that it has rained so much.

Swimming!!!

Well, Riley finally got to go swimming in her pool this weekend! Her friend Elise came over to play in the pool with her. They had a pretty good time. They didn't splash quite as much as I thought they would, but they loved to chew on the blow up rings that came with the pool. By the way, Riley went to the doctor this week. She had a DOUBLE ear infection! We just thought she was teething, but finally we came to our senses and realized that it must be something else! She is much better, and ready to go for the weekend. The ladies at daycare told me that Riley's "boyfriend" Dylan also has an ear infection :) Riley weighed 18 pounds at the doctor! What a load! She is getting so squirmy and wants to grab everything! She still doesn't seem very interested in crawling, but I am sure she will get there soon enough.

Happy Father's Day!

Riley is doing so well sitting up these days. She likes to sit and play with her toys. Riley has also started getting on all fours and rocking a little. It is so fun to watch her and see what she will do next! We got rained on this week while we were walking. Riley was in the stroller with a shade so she didn't get very wet, but I sure did! We had to run back! Thank goodness it was only a block! Riley had her 6 month pictures made today. She did very good. We should have some really cute pictures in a couple of weeks.

What's this I hear about a boyfriend??

When I picked Riley up from daycare today, Emily told me that Riley got a cute hair-do to impress her "boyfriend"!!! They pulled her hair together and tied a ribbon around it because Dylan has been making eyes at her!! Dylan is 2 months older and he likes to sit by her and smile. I wish I was there to see it. It sounds cute! Of course, Josh didn't like the idea of Riley having a boyfriend already. Anyways, here is a picture of Riley's hair-do courtesy of daycare.

6 Months Old!!!

Riley is half way to being 1 year old!! What a big girl! She is sitting better these days too. Sometimes Riley gets on all fours for a few seconds, but she usually ends up scooting backwards. Riley got to meet some of her cousins this weekend. Darren and Nicole came up from Hockley, so Riley finally got to meet their kids Katie (2yrs) and Dean (8 months). Riley also got to see lots of great aunts and uncles. I bought a little swimming pool for Riley to play in this summer. Judging from bath time, I think she will have lots of fun in the swimming pool. Riley is such a sweetheart, and we love her so much!!

Riley finally got to swing at her great grandparents house. She could swing all day long and be just as happy as can be.
