Mac & Mayble

We have survived the first 2 weeks, my house may not be as clean as it once was but we survived.  For some reason that feels like such an accomplishment.  Macallister still loves Mayble and still gives her lots of kisses.  This has really been an easier adjustment for him than I thought it would be.  The only issue would be the binky situation, Mac doesn't think Mayble need s a binky and takes it out of her mouth and puts it in his.  He now has a pink binky.  Matt loves this :)  Mayble is doing really well she is back up to her birth weight. I think that she would already be sleeping through the night if I didn't have to wake her up every 4 hours to feed.  She does not like to be woken up and it takes a while to get her awake enough to nurse.  Hopefully she will continue this when we can let her sleep.

Mac is so helpful!  He is always right there if she ever makes a sound!
I love when Mac wears blue- his eyes are the best!
It is so fun to have a little girl and get to have all the headbands and sparkles and fluff!  I love it!

Introducing.........

Mayble June Lyden
Born February 6, 2012
7.5 lbs & 19 in

She is here just about three weeks early.  I don't think that Matt was ready for that call on Monday.  She is healthy and we were able to bring her home today.  We are all doing well and trying to get back on some sort of schedule!  Lots more to come.

Mayble saying her first prayer..... "Please bless these idiot parents so they have some sort of clue what to do with big brother and me"

Big brother loves her already, lots of kisses!  He gets really concerned when she makes a noise and has to run to her and make sure she is ok.  I think that he is already the best big brother ever!

Matt was letting me take a shower, but I couldn't resist taking the pic first :)

It is exhausting being a big brother!

Mac loves Mayble!  Hopefully it stays this way for a while. Fingers crossed.

15 months

This post is late as always!  I can blame it on being 8 1/2 months pregnant with a 15 month old.  Macallister had his 15 month appt. in January  he is 31 inches tall (50%) and 26 lbs (60%) which means that he is average, well average when it comes to weight and height.  Mac was no dummy at this doctor visit as soon as we walked in the room he started sobbing.  He knew what was coming and it was heart breaking.  I don't really think that the measurements are that accurate because Mac wasn't exactly being cooperative.  Macallister just gets busier and smarter every day.  He is running every where now and he has to figure everything out.  His latest thing is taking the batteries out of the remote and putting them back in.  Apparently this is entertaining:)  My favorite thing is that Mac will now let me read books to him!  For the longest time he would only let me get through 2 pages before he was done and had better things to do.  I am loving this new development.

So handsome, this little guy has his parents wrapped around his finger!

As long as Mac has the remote the world is alright!
This is a little trick that he learned from his dad.
Mac is starting to show interest in coloring.  His favorite is the chalkboard in the kitchen.
Mac really is the best napper.  He usually sleep from about 1-4 every afternoon, and even then I have to wake him up sometimes cause I don't want him to sleep to long.  I don't know how we are going to go back to a newborn schedule.  I am trying not to think about it.  The above picture was a day where I had to wake him up and it took him a while to really be alert.

Mac has started to try and jump......... well the video shows how well he is doing :)
I don't know why all the video posts are after dinner and Mac is only in a onsie because I have had to clean up a mess from his attempts to use a spoon.  I know that I am supposed to let him try and eat on his own, but I always wonder if the mess is really worth it.
