Twins Visit AND a Mixed Up Party!!

So my twin nieces (Kate and Lucy) came home with Ryan and I after Christmas and spent the week at our house. Not only does Maggie ADORE her cousins, but this way they were able to attend Maggie's four year bday party this week!

Since we had so much snow, the girls took full advantage and played outside every day.

It was made even better with the "snow slide" that Ryan created. We all took part!

That isn't where the fun ended. They got donuts in their pajamas!

Made shrinky dink bracelets ...

And played candy land ...

Then last night we got to celebrate Maggie's birthday. She couldn't decide what theme to have, so we had a mixed up party. Ryan called it Hello Little Minnie. It was a combination of Hello Kitty, My Little Pony and Minnie Mouse. I think we did a pretty good job of representing all three!

GG did a fabulous job of cookie decorating with the girls! (My mom pitched in to help too!)

And GG did not disappoint with the cake. It was a pretty tall order ...

The big hit was a purple tutu and light up wings!

Happy Fourth Birthday Maggie!

Christmas on the Farm: Take 2

And here is the rest ...

Maggie's traditional breakfast ... pancakes by Dad with a "M" and the year she turns!
Ryan worked a little harder and even made my Mom one to match one of her favorite animals! :)
 See the resemblance?

 Christmas Eve service ...

Birthday celebration after we got home ...

Festive earrings, thanks to my Mom ...
 Presents ... again.
 Santa's elf working overtime!
Dad got an iPad. Watch out world. He even facetimed us last night! :)
Christmas morning. A version of Santa showed up.
And someone wearing an awfully festive candy cane dickie. (He won't let me put the one online of him wearing JUST the dickie on top.)

Love the farm. Love the holidays. Love my family.

Christmas on the Farm: Take 1

So thankful we got to be home for Christmas and even enjoyed a little snow on the first day. Three of the four sisters were home (thanks PJ for making the trip!; Jen you were deeply missed!)

Here are some of the highlights ...

My Mom's family came over to celebrate ... always a fun group!
Aunt Donna making some of her specialties: Cherry Delight and Deviled Eggs! YUM!!
My Mom's appetizer table ...
Every year Donna has a homemade game where we can make money. This year it was Plinko (remember on Price is Right?). HUGE hit!! (Mainly because I was the top winner!) You picked your board and each came with a different number corresponding "chips." I think almost everyone made over $50 (I came in with almost $200, but who's counting?) :)

Too many pics for one post, so more Christmas and family shots coming!
