A gift two years in the making ...
For Maggie's first birthday Ryan's aunt and cousin took her to Build-A-Bear. She played with the two bears for a bit and then we put them up in lieu of the many other toys Maggie had. I was telling her about the bears this week and got them out for her again. Oh my word ... she couldn't change into her cheerleading outfit fast enough to match "Sandie".
And last night we were playing outside. Maggie wanted a bicycle parade. That consisted of her riding her bicycle while Ryan flew flowers at her as she passed by.

Quite a look ...
After I put Maggie to bed last night, she asked to go to the bathroom. It took her a minute to get ready to climb down. Now I know why.
She had to put on her robe, socks and slippers just for the trip. Too bad it yielded no results for which the punishment is all books are taken out of her crib. She then proceeded to cry for quite a while until she settled down once more.

Glimpse into our lives ...
Last week we had a rain storm. When I got up to shut windows at 12:30am I found a leak. The next day we realized it was just from some backed up debris on our roof, but at 1am Ryan wanted to check out the attic just in case ... (he wasn't very happy that I was taking pictures!)
We made tenderloins and baked potatoes the other night. Delicious. I know ... weird that I took a picture, but it was just so good!!
And the little dress up queen!

Final Gymnastics
Maggie has been taking gymnastics for the last eight weeks. Her last class was this Monday. Each week I have gone in with her and helped with all the exercises. Maggie has had a blast. The last class you got to have spectators so Ryan came along to take some pictures and see all she has learned.
We stretch ...
Work on forward/backward rolls ...
Do donkey kicks ...
And Maggie's favorite - Skin the Cat!
It was a fun few weeks!

Penmanship
Maggie has been working on her "m" and "a" and "g" lately. I'm clearly biased, but think she is doing pretty well. Ryan said if her name was "Map" it would be even better, but at 3 years old I think this isn't too shabby!
And here is a random one from the park the other day. Oh the love of the headband ...

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
We celebrated with all things green yesterday! Maggie had green milk in her cup all day (I think she was convinced this was a miracle!). Had green eggs and green milk for breakfast.
Enjoyed our leprechaun masks.

Had some "clover" apple crisp.
Gave away some St. Patty's Day crafts to Grandma Sandy, Grandpa Dave and Aunt Adie.
Put out the new spring wreath!
AND cheered the Hoosiers on to a HUGE win!
What a great ending to a great day!

Just your average March day ...
If you are in the Midwest then you are probably like us and loving this unseasonably warm weather. Maggie has been begging to get out water and the sprinkler and today I just decided ... what the heck? She spent a good chunk of the afternoon running around in her swimsuit. At least it was almost 80 degrees!

Ryan was a bit shocked when he got home and saw her running around like this, but you only live once, right?

Randomness ...
I'm not going to lie ... this week has been rough. Trying to get back into the groove of things and realizing that we have responsibilities is a wake-up call from laying poolside, reading my book and ordering a drink every few minutes!
It was beautiful out the other day and we ended up having a makeshift play date in our front yard with six adults, eight kids and a lot of fun!

And Ryan is such a good sport. Maggie insists most nights on giving him a hair do during bath time.
The other night we had our neighbors over and I couldn't resist getting a picture of Maggie and Jack sleeping.

The Dominican
Once again, I'm amazed by how wonderful our families are! This last week, my parents gifted us a trip to the Dominican they won through their seed corn company (Becks Hybrids). They were eligible for two trips this year ... both to the Dominican Republic. So this last week Ryan and I have been lounging by the pool and hanging out - with my parents! :)
We hung out by the pool (some of us in the sun and some in the shade!) ...

Enjoyed a Michael Jackson show at the resort ...
Toured a cigar factory ...
And had fun! :)

Thanks again Mom and Dad!! And THANKS to my sister Beth and her family who watched Maggie all week!
